Is that the episode where they go to that play about themselves? If it is why would they make them go to a play so close to the finale? o.O

Well the play they saw is completely "different" from the series which makes the gaang kind of disappointed. And so what if it's a filler. It is a fun episode that marvels the series up to that point. Kind of like the last day of summer, before all hell breaks loose. Remember the movie is really just four episodes. So the real finally is the last episode titled, "Avatar Aang." I have seen the first seven minutes of this episode via a video on Youtube at New York Comic Con I believe it was. Something tells me that the gaang are going to try and correct the play, then something happens. Plus, In the play Aang is played by a girl. So we officially have a She-Aang now. Katara is always whipping in the play and Sokka always talks about food.

XDDD The Jet death part was awesome! That has to be one of the funniest Avatar episodes, EVER. The Zutara was hot, too. XDDD

I have Chatter so it comes on at 8pm here in California. There was never new Zutara moments in any of the new un-aired episodes accept for when Zuko pushed Katara out of the way.

Now this episode was funny and it was fun to see the entire the entire series in a different light and a more wrong light. But why did this have to be the last episode before tomorrow's Sozin's Comet. But then again, all the movie really is. Is just the last four episodes of the series.
Which means Avatar Aang is the series end. Anyways this is it. The finale we have all waited for. After tomorrow everything would have been known. Who knows if we are still getting a spin off. The next Avatar we will see is M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, I'd be 20 years old.

It was a great recap of the entire series before the big finale, too. Great idea! ;D

Much like C3PO telling the story to the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi.

Not really. It was a total reenactment from a most humorous perspective. It dug up a bunch of jokes from the series, and that's where the humor comes from. I don't see any relation. :-\

Telling the story of what happened.
Right before conflict errupts.
These two things above should be obvious. ^

Yeah, but that's the extent of the similarities. The Ember Island Players was intended to be funny, and the C-3PO rendition was merely story telling. This was an ENTIRE reenactment, for cripe's sake.

It's still storytelling. It's still the main recap before conflict begins. It doesn't matter if one is meant to be funny or not. It's still that main point in almost every story like this which features a recap type of plot.

I suppose. I mean, still, I don't see much of a similarity. Like you said, it's a clique little blip put into a lot of stories, but Avatar had its own personal spin on it.
