I wrote this like 4 years ago so it kind of sucks

I see what is drawing closer
It is full of fear and despair
It will make witness frightful things
The torture it knows, it will share
It knows how to force tears
It knows what makes us hurt
It is not there to grant us heaven
In our heart it lurks
It wants to see us descend
It wants to compress our souls
It wants to cast us in a play of fears
It will decide our roles
There is only one way it can be overcome
There is only one way indeed
Hope will assist us in every way
In the battle against it which it will lead
Life will show us the path
The way to block it from our minds
In this certain play of fears
We will finally choose our lines
