You have been given the task to discover the ultimate secret. One such secret that holds the power to shape and form the world in your image. However the problem with such power is that it is easily corruptible. You're starting to think this isn't worth it, you start worrying you may forsaken your friends and family. However your quest for knowledge over powers your need for loved ones or absolute power.
You sign the contact to give your life away to this organization that is dedicated to discover this secret. Next thing you know, you wake up in the morning and drive to a large sea vessel where you are forced to dress in uniform and meet strange new people. You look at your cabin and realize that this is a little bit small than what you are used too. But it is officially your home for as long as they keep you there.
With little to no second thoughts, the ship sails over on his maiden voyage. You are eager to know what you are going to find, but you know you need to be patient as you may never find anything. But now the question remains, what would you do when you know nothing of the secret nor this origination you just joined?

Name: Pearl Evans Age: 19 Sex: Female
Waking up on board a sea ship was always an experience she would have never thought of experiencing. Part of her felt a little frighten about what situation she could have put herself though, yet at the same time she realized that this was going to bring her excitement. Something she has always wanted in her dull boring life.
Her cabin was small, almost cramped. It included a small bed by a portal where she would watch the water move around as the tides came in and out. To the left of the bed was a couple of shelves that was used for 'personal belongs' as if the captain allows mementos on his ship. They were really supposed to be used for items you find among your journey and items that the 'higher ups' give you.
Now even though the cabin was small and cramped. Pearl enjoyed the quietness of the room and felt relaxed whenever she talked to herself about thoughts that went on in her mind. The room also included a bookshelf, as if she was ever going to use it. Reading was something she was never quiet fond of and even if she was. All of the books on the shelf were of things she wasn't in too.
It's not that she hated reading, it's just that she can't really read well. Every chance she got to read something she WAS into, she always felt the need to repeat words, even sentences. Replacing a word or adding a word. This becomes bothersome when you start to not retain what you just read. Sometimes she wondered if she had dyslexia. Mostly in reading and math.

"Well enough of reminiscing of my personal issues, time to look about the cabin," Pearl said to herself as she sat up from her bed and then walked to the door.
As she opened the door, the hallway was just as small and narrow as it was when she first entered. She couldn't believe she was actually going to be living on board of this boat for the next captain knows where. She never even heard of the captain or even knew him personally. Neither did she remember any of the faces on board. Pearl never really had any friends when she was home. Sometimes she labeled herself as being 'housebound'. Perhaps this was one reason that temped her to come on such a risky trip as this, to meet new people and new faces. Maybe even meet some familiar ones as well.
"At least I am not the only one on this boat," she said to herself again as she stepped outward to walk toward the stern of the ship wondering what else was on board.
The ships wasn't very big, nothing like a cruise liner as she expected this to be for a while. To be honest, she didn't really care about a cruise line, it even made this adventure better because she would be forced to try new things and not be spoiled or picky. She walked until she discovered the kitchen where the chef was to prepare the food that everyone eats. Even though this wasn't a cruise liner, the food did smell very good for a dinky little ship sailing in the South Pacific.
"I wonder what we will be having for launch," she thought.

Pearl peeked around the kitchen one more time to find that the Chef wasn't anywhere to be found. The smell of the food was tempting her to snoop around until she found a good snack. It always seemed like she was always hungry, even back home her mother used to tell her that she was going to get fat someday. Even she was surprised by the fact she hasn't gained much weight over the past years of eating.
She did realized she needed to be aware of her eating habits and learn to control them. Perhaps just a small snack wouldn't hurt her since she haven't eaten at all since she got here.
She sneaked into the kitchen and hid behind a counter, peeking her face up to see what was on top of the counter. There wasn't very much to choose from, you had your basic vegetables and some weird disgusting looking dark green sauce. Whatever that could have been was something she didn't want to know. Just when she was finally going to pick something, she heard a noise. It was the chef, he was coming back. She realized that she needed to get out of there. She quickly ran out of the room and back into the hallway. From there she returned to her cabin on board of the ship.

Name: Marcus Taylor Lewis Age: 23 Sex: Male
As he signed his name onto that dreaded paper, just as his memory recalled, something seemed to hinder and pause him for a split second. His mind wanted to reject such a proposition, but just as his curiosity grew, so did his appetite for change. The thrill and adventure was just a signature away, and the drive to escape from his life was well worth whatever was ahead. Brashly, his hands etched his name onto the paper.
That was weeks ago, and now... Now all he wanted was to return home.
Marcus was young and well-built, and he needed to be. Holding his place as the youngest child of five was no easy task, and for all of his life, determination was a strong friend. Although stout, he wasn't the keenest of the bunch, and in his mind, this lack of quality seemed to have gotten him into this rut.
He never knew or grasped the concept of silence. Until now, at least. Not a sound loomed in the cabin, save for his tapping foot. Marcus groaned, sprawling out upon his bed as his eyes shot up at the gray ceiling. Meaningless seconds drifted by, but without a blooming thought, time was nonexistent.

From her small 'adventure' in the kitchen, Pearl went back to her room and laid face first onto the bed. Bored out of her mind she began to think about pleasant things. But this was shortly cut off with thoughts of the future. Just where was this boat heading and what could she possibly discover while she was just laying on her cot. If she wanted to do such things, she would have done so back home.
A few minutes have passed and Pearl was laying down on her back, didn't get up since she last laid down. Random thoughts constantly ran through her head. Thoughts of relationship scenarios, action/adventure scenarios, and all kinds of scenarios were often. Daydreams of finding the right boyfriend to which be married someday to and belong to him. Daydreams of children to carry out her name. Oh all the things she could teach a daughter if only she had one.
More minutes have passed and Pearl decided that it was time to explore the vessel some more. She couldn't believe that she was seriously leaving all she knew for the grand unknown. It was kind of a great feeling of adrenaline, but at the same time sickness in her lower stomach. A sickness from missing everything you knew and everything you did in your everyday routine. However she remained optimistic about this and realized that this was probably good for her.

Walking past all of the doors in the hallway made Pearl's mind wonder. Just how many volunteered for such a 'mission' as this? Why would anyone choose to throw their life away at what could be a sure fire dangerous situation? Perhaps they were like her and just wanted to have some experience to tell their grandchildren someday, perhaps they just didn't think this was serious until they got a feedback letter in their mailbox. Perhaps they feel as if their life is in disarray and are willing to risk it just for the sake of it. Perhaps they just seek adventure.
As these thoughts continued to ponder Pearl's head, she came to the steps which lead to the top deck of the ship. As she walked up, she noticed that the ship was basically a ghost town. No crewman working hard, no captain on board, nothing but sea supplies and what looked to be a rusty anchor that has seen better days, but now being used as a decoration.
A sudden fright came upon her as she started to get a feeling as if she was only here for something dangerous. Horror scenarios started to suddenly run though her head. Scenarios like she was just being used as bait for something. Only here as a potential rape victim for a lonely old dirty captain, who probably never had any in years who had to force himself on young barely legal girls. Thoughts of just being left on this boat with no food or supplies to die at sea. All of these thoughts haunted her to which lead to another panic attack. She quickly found an empty seat and tried to calm herself down as she watched the waves go past the boat. Lapping up against it's sides as it moved along.
"There is nothing bad going on here, there is nothing bad that is going to happen to you, get yourself together girl," she said to herself trying to calm herself down.

Finally, Marcus stood, allowing all of his limbs to circulate once more as his arms reached for the ceiling. Burying his hands into his pockets, his eyes shifted about the room; surely, there must have been something, anything, that could ease the boredom. His vision scoured the tiny quarters, but among the books, the bed and small desk crammed into the corner, he could find nothing, much to his dismay. His attention was brought to the door, more specifically the knob, and with ever growing curiosity guiding his sense, his fingertips grasped the doorknob, and slowly, the door opened.
Peering into the soundless hallway, his head turned in each direction before his feet proceeded into the empty realm. With hands still tucked into his pockets, the man sighed as he walked further into the desolate hall; his eyes narrowed for the light was dim. He pressed onward, hoping that something would suppress his boredom.

Her chest felt painful and she felt like she was going to die. A death from a heart attack with nobody around to help her. She remembered when she had her first panic attack. Her mother told her to relax because she didn't want to pay the medical bill. However she was right when she told her that it was nothing but a mere panic attack. Trying to control her breathing, terrible thoughts continue to come to her mind. Even when she tried to remove them from her brain.
It wasn't like she had a horrible life, in fact sometimes she wished something bad will happen to her. Even though she was fearful, sometimes she loves the feeling of being endangered. Even if that meant she needed to be face to face with death itself.
Her breathing started to slow down and she began to feel calm. She continued to watch the waves move back and forth as they lapped up upon the boat. She started to think about what it would be like to be a wave. Not being able to go where you want to go and just forced to move where the moon wanted you too.
"I guess that is why I am here," she thought.

Kicking up the carpet of the hallway, Marcus gnashed his bottom lip; his stroll appeared to have been in vain. Not a soul crossed his path, and nothing of interest piqued his attention. Walking past countless doors, a metal staircase was wedged between two quarter doors, and he grasped the rail firmly as he climbed up.
The scent of salty air greeted him in the face, and the light that cascaded onto the deck warmed his entire body. His head slowly rotated in every direction only to gaze upon miles of never ending sea. The open area conceived no sort of life, and stepping out to the ship's rim, Marcus heaved a content sigh, and for the first time in days, he smiled.
Leaning his head against his resting hand, his ears caught sound, and turning to its source, his eyes laid upon a human figure, a girl, practically hunched over the side. His eyes thinned, gaining a better image, and slowly approaching her, he raised a brow in question.
"Excuse me?" his masculine voice inquired, hoping to ignite conversation.

"Ahh," Pearl screamed with a bit of a shock to notice a young man was standing right over her.
"What do you want?" she asked hoping this man wasn't going to do anything bad to her, still in that panicing state.
"Whatever you do, please don't rape me!" she screamed again trying to gain control of her breathing once more while that pain in her chest came back. At least she knew there was some life on board this vessel.

Pursing his lips, Marcus dug his hands into pockets, and sporting a perplexed expression, he replied, "Pardon?"
He scratched the back of his neck, confused by the woman's words, and darting his eyes about, he further questioned her. "Are... are you alright, miss?" he asked.

She continued to breath heavy and didn't really wish to talk to anyone at this moment. She tried to not think about anything and tried harder to slow down her breathing. What if this time she really was having a heartattack? Of course questions as such made this fear even worse. However she did knew that she was too young to be having one, or as her mother have told her.
She looked up and noticed the man still standing there. What could he want from her. Not thinking rationally being in such a fearful state. She quickly told the man, "I think I am having a heart attack!" Before she ran off in search of the medical bay.

Not really sure rather or not she was, Pearl got up from her seat and started to walk toward the medical bay near the stern of the ship. Hopefully the doctor could diagnosis this as just a panic attack.
Ship Crew Members Name: Dr. Henry McCoy Age: 46 Sex: Male
As she continued back down the narrow hallway from which she just came out of, she turned toward the stern of the ship once more. Luckily for her the medical bay wasn't that hard to find and the doctor was just sitting near a wall reading some medical magazine.
"Excuse me," Pearl said trying to get his attention while trying to control her breathing. However the doctor didn't notice.
Trying to make a louder voice, she repeated herself until he put down his magazine and walked toward her with a concerned face.
"Oh dear Jesus," he said as he approached, "what is wrong with you?"
Pearl looked at him in his eyes and tried to talk but she still needed to watch every breath she took.
"I cannot breath, am I having a heartattack?" she asked with watery eyes.
Dr. McCoy, as friendly as he was, possibly the only friendly staff member on the entire crew. Was a bit fearful, he never had to deal with such a serious case before. However there was no time to waist, since having a heartattack was serious business.
"Go lay down," he replied back to the girl.
Pearl walked over and laid down on his medical bed. Still breathing heavy, McCoy walked over and began to listen to her heartbeat.

Laying down on the bed, thoughts of the young man who approached her came up in her mind. From the way he was dressed, something told her that he was just someone who volunteered for such a trip. Just someone who she shouldn't worry about. She then remembered what she said to the boy.
"Please don't rape me," she said in her mind twice embarrassed, "please don't rape me?"
The more she thought about her actions, the more she realized just how ridiculous she was back on the deck. Her breathing slowed down a bit more and her heartbeat went back to normal. The pain that was in her chest die down a bit more.
"Interesting..." Dr. McCoy said, as Pearl overheard.
"What doctor?" she asked starting to get worried some more.
"Oh nothing, you just seemed to have gotten yourself quiet a fright there," he responded.
"Don't you mean a panic attack?" she asked hoping that is what he meant even though she knew.
"Exactly, but why don't you just calm yourself down here?" McCoy responded gently pushing her back down onto the bed, "Rest for a bit, I hear the captain wants all crew and passengers on deck around Noon."

Dr. McCoy sat back down on his seat to continue reading his magazine. However his kind of reading material was not permitted on board so he had to hide it within a 'mask cover' inside a boring medical magazine. If only his wife at home knew about what he did on the job, she probably won't mind as much anyways. However he couldn't finish reading the magazine without thinking about the recent rough patch that he and his wife fell into. He took this job as the ship's doctor to try and earn a steady paycheck to keep the two of them alive and feed.
Even though he wished he could have taken a job at home, just so she wouldn't have to be alone with no one around to comfort her. He realized that this was possibly the only way to make sure food gets on the table even if that means they have to be separated from each other for quiet sometime. And it's not entirely all bad, he is allowed to call her whenever he wished and he was allowed to bring his cellphone along so he could make contact.
It was a joyful day when he found an advertisement over the Internet in his search for a job. He thought this might be a good paying job even though the actual pay here is misleading corresponding to the advertisement and the website this 'captain' had. During all his time serving on board this vessel, he never once knew who the captain was or even knew what he looked like. Perhaps this might be the first time he will be introduced to him when all of the staff and passengers are called for a gathering around Noon. Even though Henry never gets his hopes up whenever there was a gathering, since it usually involves one of the captain's 'employees' making an announcement while all of the others where on deck.
Sometimes he wondered why he put up with such a lonely, dull, assignment that was this job. He could have possibly found a better job back home. Even though he signed a contract, the thought of someday having money in the bank to take his new family on a Walt Disney World vacation was more than enough to keep him going. Now all he wanted to do was get back to his dirty magazine and finish what he has started.

Marcus stared deeply into the waves bashing into the side of the ship, his image reflected in the rippling water below. How he craved the taste of a cigarette; it was an addiction that he missed terribly. He'd easily smoke a pack a day, whenever possible or at hand. He took his first drag of nicotine at thirteen, and since then, he'd taken a liking it. Amid the bickering and urging to stop from his mother and sisters, there was Johnny, his oldest brother, that sat next to him at the conclusion of a day as he exhaled a cloud of smoke beside his younger brother. Nothing ever felt so damn relaxing.
The man kicked the side of the deck, a hallow sound ensued. The sun was setting now, and a bitter chill gushed through his hair. Darkness was near, but something within anchored Marcus's feet to the ground. Instead, his eyes gazed off into the distant ocean, desiring a well earned smoke.

Name: Knox Gryllis Age: 30 Sex: Male
"Adieu, to my old life," the man toasted, raising a glass as he sat perched on the empty cargo boxes on deck. Knox pursed his lips, slightly amused by his antics before drinking his invisible alcohol. He raised his empty hand to the sea, and grunting, he resumed his position, hunched by his unquenchable desires.
Gryllis was truly a sailor at heart, both by land and sea. He was a frequent womanizer and a dirty drunk, and he spent his days in the city rotting away in the streets. He performed his cheap work by day, and by night, he enjoyed his retirement within the bedroom, soothed by his passionate liaisons with women.
Perhaps it was the thought of earning a dollar or two that sparked his interest in the hopes of his most recent decision in joining the exploration. It was a secret, of course, and usually, a heap of money was behind every secret. The thought caused his smile to curl in delight.
His burly and large, hefty in nature, and his crew cut faintly revealed the obscure tattoos on his scalp. His face was rugged and lean, lined with stubble from the lack of shaving. His narrow eyes intently looked about as his hand reached to scratch his ear.
The sound of the bashing waves served as Knox's only soundtrack, and huffing, his stood and sauntered off to further explore the deck.
