What are the odds that "Last Airbender" gets sidetracked becomes just a regular Shyamalan movie based on the series saying that Shyamalan was inspired by it instead of a live action adaption of it?

They might even considered the four continents if this does in so happen. The West =/= the Americas (fire), The South =/= Africa (earth), The North =/= Europe (water), The East =/= Asia (air).

Also I wonder how similar American Fire Nation would be like to the series.

Your theory already just got tarnished. Jessica Jade Andres, who is slated to play Suki, is, if I'm not mistaken, white. And if Noah Ringer is also proven to be white, then such also contradicts your theory.

Besides, Shyamalan has to also respect Mike and Bryan who created the series and helped write the movie's script.
