Openly choosing not to post stuff from the last couple of months not yet posted, and just focus on the very recent:







I have this new thing I do when making icons where I start off with simple coloring and effects, then save it, and add some more effects through textures or whatever, just something unique and out of the ordinary, save it, then pack in another effect at the point where I would normally stop, and save it finally. I end up with 3 pretty cool versions, I think. Thoughts?

I had the extracted version of this lying around, so I thought what the heck. I can't recall what the actual stock's BG looks like, so I have no idea how original what I did looks in comparison, though it should be noted all of the BG was done by myself, with the exception of a subtle texture use.





I can't help but feel they're a tad too simple, and the coloring on the first could be more creative. Cnc please?
