New 'The Last Airbender' Casting Call

Our sister-site, MNightFans.com, has found out about another casting call for The Last Airbender. They will be coming to Flushing, New York on March 1st specifically to look for Asian Americans to cast in the movie.

In detail, they are looking for individuals of Cambodian, Mongolian, Chinese, Korean and Thai Descent ... MARTIAL ARTS EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS!!!

Anyone cast in New York will be traveled to Philadelphia, given housing and per diem as well as paid for their work.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone to work with an amazing cast and director.

It's a step in the right direction, no doubt. I suppose it's starting to click for M. Night. Still, it's not going to change people's opinions on the main cast, is it?

It was probably on the agenda all along, but people were a too suborn for patients. Plus they opened up the main casting to have a wider choose of who could play the characters. Jackson Rathbone is surely better than all of those who think should play Sokka on those Youtube videos. Taj Morey? Seriously? The only two people those videos suggested that made me think about it for a couple of seconds where Alyson Stoner (Toph), and Demi Lovato (Azula). Still I'd take Miranda Cosgrove (Azula) and Brenda Song (Ty Lee).

Disney Channel actors? Please, I want people with real talent. Get a few unknown faces. I'd rather see a brand new, never before seen actor than stare at Alyson Stoner or Miranda Cosgrove for the duration of a film.
