People can give opinions about it and possible critizism like if a character has too much power or something like that. Or you could just keep track of it by locking each one until someone asks if they can modify it, but after that lock it again.

Right, but what doesn't work for one RP, might actually be good for another. I would say you're right if we had multiple boards dedicated to the same RP, but each board contains as many RPs as needed, so a board for characters just wouldn't work.

Because that doesn't make sense. You can still get people to tell you if they're too powerful in the thread where you post them.
