How did Namine get her name???

I'm still confused about this. Why Namine? Has nothing to do with the name Kairi at all...I read somewhere that it has something to do with the word ocean, but I still don't understand why they chose that name for her. Any thoughts or theories?

Indeed, just as bb said, Namine's name is derived from the word "ocean". But, like bb stated again, why Namine? Why not Akixir, or something? XDD Maybe because Namine is totally different from all other Nobodies due to her mysterious and witch-like, as DiZ has said in the game, properties.

I can sort of see where the whole "ocean" thing comes into play for Namine, because in the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 2, Sora is drifting by above the ocean, an effect of Namine's magical works upon him. I can actually see Namine share a bond of some sort with Aqua, one of the Enigmatic soldiers seen in the secret movie at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2. I can see this happening for two reasons: 1. Namine and Aqua, apparently, share the same element, and 2. the way Aqua holds and treats Ven seems parallel to Namine and Roxas ((...plus Roxas looks identical to Ven XDDD)).

Yeah, I think that's the idea. xDD I just thought her name might have had more meaning behind it...like all of the other Nobodies names do.

Well, I meant because all of their names are remixed versions on their original person...
