After the War (Post WWII Japan RPG)

"Well at least you have more sense to come here than to pump artificial chemicals into her body." The old man said as he got out some special smelling salts, "You people these days are so concintrated for trying to find an unnatural cure and you end up abandoning old effective medicine all together." he put the salts under Dawn's nose.

OOC: Okay, here's my new character

Name: Taiira Aiko (Beppa)
Age: 37
Gender: Female
Occupation: Youkai, spy, former Tokyo Rose, Black Dragon Society member

History: Served as a Tokyo Rose broadcaster in WW2 and was engaged to a colonel, who would send her exotic flowers from the places they fought in, mostly roses. After the war, both she and her fiance were tried as war criminals. Though she was found not guilty, her fiance had to be hung, which put her in a state of depression and anger; so much anger, that when she cut herself on the thorns of one of her roses, her spirit took up a dark spirit, giving her power over plant (mostly flowers and roses) and making her prone to plant toxins. After the war, she became a spy and a secret member of the once-powerful Black Dragon Society.
Personality: Seductive, sweet at one point and venomous another. Has a bit of a problem with lust.
Other info: Goes by name “Beppa” which means rose in Japanese. Grows her own poision roses that she likes to serve to people as tea.

OOC: For those who don't know, The Black Dragon Society was an ultra conservative group that helped promote most of the battles in WW2.

MEanwhile outside, a woman in a dress coat and sunglasses came about and noticed the morning glories on the ground.

"Odd, its past the season... I think I'm on track."

Kaido held Dawn's hand as the herbalist held some sort of healing salts under her nose. "Why am I so concerned?" The man thought to himself, staring more intently at the young woman, "I barely know here, and not to mention she was tailing us for the government not to long ago."

OOC: a few seconds and she might feel a little drowsy, but she'll wake up.

"She should start waking up soon." the herbalist said putting the salts away.

R.E.F.U. scooted up to Dawn's side. "Hey Dawn, you okay?"

[Beebs]

The young woman, quite groggy, began to open her eyes and look around. She had trouble speaking for a few moments, but finally managed to mumble, "Wha? W-where am I? What happened?"

Kaido smiled, glad dawn was awake, and he answered, "Back at the graveyard, you fainted. We brought you here to this holistic doctor and he helped wake you up. I'm so glad you're okay."

"Finally, now I can get you out of here." the herbalist then grabbed an envelope and handed it to Shouei. "This'll come helpful when the time comes." and the old man pushed the four out of his cottage before any questions could be asked.

"Well, he was certainly friendly." R.E.F.U. said in sarcasm (even if he barely understood the meaning). Suddenly, he looked over the hillside to see a woman with ebony hair and ruby rose red lips looking back at them.

[Beebs]

Dawn rubbed her eyes groggily, observing Refu and turning her attention to where he was staring. She refocused her eyes to see the figure in the distance. "Hey, she sure looks familiar," Dawn said aloud, still a little out of it.

Shouei realized they were in a sticky situation, "I think now is a good time we lea--"

"Excuse me," The woman said coming up to them, "I'm a little lost and I'm trying to find this address." she showed them a piece of paper with an address written down.

"Sorry," said Shouei in suspition, "but we're not from around here, so we can't hel--"

"Its two blocks that way and hang a left" R.E.F.U. said after taking two seconds to read the address.

"Domo." The woman bowed and walked off with a smirk.

Shouei looked at R.E.F.U. and smacked him upside the head. "WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT TALKING TO STRANGERS?!"

R.E.F.U. cried, "But she was pretty."

"THAT DOESN'T COUNT!"

[Beebs]

Dawn lightly put a finger to her mouth and mumbled, "I swear I've seen her before...she looks so familiar."

Kaido frowned, adding, "Well, it's probably best we leave, just in case."

[zukobaby]

"I agree. Lets go." Shouei followed them while tugging R.E.F.U. along by the ear.

OOC: Okay, I'm going to do a little time into the night.

The group stopped to rest at a local inn. As they slept on their bed mattes, R.E.F.U. started rolling around in his sleep, and woke up screaming with tears in his eyes.

[Beebs]

"The beaker's on the left!!" Dawn said just before coming out of her sleep, due to Refu's screaming, "Huh? Wha? What happened??"

Kaido groaned as he woke up from his sleep, rubbing his eyes and bluntly asking, "What's wrong with him?"

Shouei got up all groggy. "Looks like R.E.F.U.'s having another night terror." he came over to the boy.

R.E.F.U. threw his arms around Shouei, "They wound't stop! the pain wouldn't stop!"

"I know," Shouei said patting his head as if he were his own child, "but we're far away from those men now." He then turned to Kaido and Dawn, "He suffered a lot of abuse when he was in the lab where he was created."

[Beebs]

"That sucks, but I need my sleep so...night," Kaido said in an annoyed voice, before flopping back down on his pillow and quickly falling back asleep.

"Aww, that's so awful," Dawn replied to Shouei, an expression of general concern on her face, "I can't believe my fellow scientists would corrupt their quest for the expansion of knowledge--" She was cut off by one of Kaido's groans, signifying he was trying desperately to stay asleep. The young woman continued in a soft voice, "I just know I'd never do anything to hurt anyone intentionally, no matter what the purpose."

[zukobaby]

"Glad you have a kind enough heart to be so considerate." Shouei said getting up, only to find R.E.F.U. clinging onto his leg.

"Stay with me!"

"Can't you sleep on your own?"

But R.E.F.U. looked up at Shouei with the saddest of puppy eyes.

The old doctor sighed and layed down next to him, "What a baby."

[Beebs]

Dawn's eyes lit up and she began to situate herself under the covers, yawning slightly, and said, "Well, since I'm already up, we could all like hangout; like a slumber party! Yay! We could play games, tell ghost stories, eat junk food and even..." She soon drifted off to sleep and began to snore loudly enough to match even Kaido in a match of sleeping noises.

So they all rested that night.

R.E.F.U. was the first to wake up the next morning to the rising sun. As he looked out the window, he saw the same woman from yesterday outside taking a stroll. Though Shouei and the others told him not to go near strangers, R.E.F.U. couldn't help wonder why someone who kept giving them friendly smiles would want with them. So, like a cat, curiosity got the best of R.E.F.U. and he climbed out the window and went over to the woman.

"Ohaio."

The woman smiled, "You're the boy from yesterday. Maybe I should treat you to a little playdate. You can call me Beppa."

R.E.F.U. did have his doubts leaving the inn, but Beppa's sweet personality and seductive rosewater perfume just lured him in and he followed her.

[Beebs]

As the birds chirped outside, Dawn sprang up in her bed, almost with an immediate glow about her, exclaiming, "Good morning everyone! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and it's another beautiful day to be happily traveling with my new friends!!"

Kaido groaned, rolling over and throwing one of his pillows at Dawn, then taking the other one and covering his head to block out the chipper young woman's noise.

Dawn squeezed the pillow tight looking around the room with a smile on her face, which soon turned into a look of curiosity, and she continued, "Hey, wait a sec, where's Refu?"

Shouei woke up startled when Dawn asked about R.E.F.U. and was shocked to find he wasn't around. "Hold on, R.E.F.U. wouldn't leave so far off from here unless..." Then it came to his mind; that woman from yesterday must've come and lured him away. He groaned in frustration and got his coat on quickly. "We've got to get him back before its too late."

[Beebs]

((OOC: o.o...why would he just assume that?))

Kaido grumpily sprang up in his bed and mumbled, "This kid's really starting to mess with my sleep pattern. Well, let's go find him." He got up and quickly threw on his clothes, walking over and standing by Shouei's side. He turned to dawn and casually asked, "Hey, you coming?"

Dawn, a little startled, nervously replied, "Me? Really?! Uh...sure!" She stumbled over the the group with a wide grin on her face, not used to being asked to come along.

OOC: Well, being as someone suspicious like that lady came by and knowing R.E.F.U. excessively friendly personality (and a problem with puppy love crushes), its no surprise Shouei would assume such a theory.

Meanwhile, Beppa was out treating R.E.F.U. to some ramen. He slurped up the noodles like a kid slurping up spaghetti. Beppa couldn't help but smile.

"You're a sweet little thing, you know. You don't see a lot of men out with such a heart as yours."

R.E.F.U. slurped up one of his noodles till it hit his nose and a trickle of broth was hanging on.

"Sorry, I haven't been out with a lot of men since my late fiance; we promised to get married when the war was over, but it never happened. I'm glad to see you enjoying our little playdate; perhaps sometime, I could invite you over to my place for some tea."

"Okay", R.E.F.U. smiled as he wiped his face with a napkin and smiled like a kindergartener with a crush on their teacher would.
