But the episodes are considered chapters and the seasons are considered books. It's two episodes yes, but two of the episodes are the same chapter. Also IMDb isn't really a good source since I read there has been plenty of misquoted and misinformation posted there.

Okay, just checked the title intro thing in DOBS pt.2, they're two episodes, but the same chapter.

Well of course they are two episodes. However Avatar goes by chapters in the community. 3.13, 3 = The Book Number and 13 = The Chapter. Only sites that all about the media consider the episodes. Mostly for sources. In the Avatar Community, it goes by chapters. Which is how I go by.

Yeah, but the way you stated it (3.13 The Boiling Rock) is episode format, so...3.14...

The format is used for both episodes and chapters. 3.13 also means Book 3 Chapter 13 or Book 3 Chapter 14. Either way works. I have this chapter format the same as episode format before.

The creators stated that there is 21 episodes in this season. the way you're going, it's gonna be like 18, since the boiuling rock is 2 parts of a whole episode and the finale is 3 parts of a whole.

The series finally is 2 hours long, so technically that makes it 4 chapters. I doubt they are going to combine the chapters for The Boiling Rock and the final. Basically there probably is going to be 20 chapters (otherwise 21 episodes).
Chapter 1 - The Awakening Chapter 2 - The Headband Chapter 3 - The Painted Lady Chapter 4 - Sokka's Master Chapter 5 - The Beach Chapter 6 - The Avatar and The Firelord Chapter 7 - The Runaway Chapter 8 - The Puppetmaster Chapter 9 - Nightmares and Daydreams Chapter 10 - The Day of Black Sun (The Invasion & The Eclipse) Chapter 11 - The Western Air Temple Chapter 12 - The Firebending Masters Chapter 13 - The Boiling Rock Part I Chapter 14 - (most likely) The Boiling Rock Part II
(unless they combine the two episodes into one chapter again.)
Episode 1 - The Awakening Episode 2 - The Headband Episode 3 - The Painted Lady Episode 4 - Sokka's Master Episode 5 - The Beach Episode 6 - The Avatar and The Firelord Episode 7 - The Runaway Episode 8 - The Puppetmaster Episode 9 - Nightmares and Daydreams Episode 10 - The Invasion Episode 11 - The Eclipse Episode 12 - The Western Air Temple Episode 13 - The Firebending Masters Episode 14 - The Boiling Rock Part I Episode 15 - The Boiling Rock Part II
21 episodes as a whole so far, and only 20 chapters. Unless of course they combine episodes 14 and 15 as one chapter. And the finally as one chapter which would contain episodes 18, 19, 20, 21. Then that would give us 21 episodes and only 14 chapters?

Well, in the title cap for Western Air Temple, it said it was chapter 12, and Firebending Masters was 13. Something is messed up.

Regardless, Avatar needs to get a move on with these new episodes; it's starting to lose its fans. Don't get me wrong, I love Avatar and all, but it's beginning to extensively annoy me with all of these episode gaps. If I'm not mistaken, The Western Air Temple hasn't even been broadcast in the United States. What the heck? With surprise air dates, Avatar gets few watchers, and it's gradually killing it. Anyone agree?

Anyone agree? I think all the ATLA fans agree. It's been the common discussion for months now and frankly it's getting old. I'm tired of everyone saying they're tired of waiting. But who's fault is that? Nickeloden, along with I'm assuming the ATLA staff, is responsible for the loss of fans, ratings, and general interest. But more to the point, we have no idea what the Boiling Rock is even about! We have names for practically the rest of the season, so surely they have plots. I've no doubt that at least Part One is finished by now, so why the hell aren't they showing it?

Which reminds me from a post over at Distant Horizon, Nickelodeon has officially posted The Boiling Rock game and it has some insight into what the episode is about. Click here to visit the thread. The game, you play as Prince Zuko trying to free the prisoners. Apparently the boiling rock is a prison similar to Alcatraz prison in San Francisco. The reason why they will release the game way before Chapter 11 and 12 have even aired yet is beyond me.

Hm...that's a pretty interesting find. I'm glad we at least know something about the episode now.
