I heard this from a few people online and a song in South Park so I am wondering. Why do people tend to think they live in sin? Why do they think anime is evil? Also does the whole "Pokemon" thing, was it because it was an anime or material inside the show that made people think it was evil?

XDD Honestly, if you think about it, everyone and everything lives in sin. Like, temptation, lust, etc... They're all sin, seriously. Why are people isolating and pointing to Japan? o.o It's just as bad here in America too.

xDD Seriously. However, Japan isn't as big on censorship as the US is...just looks at their TV shows. xP

Yeah, and like you said yesterday, bb, TV shows here are beginning to open up and use themes that would have been totally shunned years ago. I think you said something like people saying "sexy" on Fairly Oddparents? XDDD Think of what'll happen five years from now.

I do not know either, although I find it funny. Well if japan truly does live in sin and is the land of sin. Then sign me up for Hell please. Because Japan kicks some major butt. If Hell is anything like todays America, Canada, Japan, or Britain then I will enjoy going to hell.

o.O o..k... lol
Who ever thinks Japan is all about sin then they need to go to the library and read up on some stuff or better yet look at all the sin and stuff they've done. Japan have just as much culture and tradition like any other nation as well.

Well, I've never heard anyone say anything like that about Japan either. The only thing I can think of is the censorship thing I mentioned...

Seriously, who thinks Japanese people live in sin (except for Mr. Garrison from South Park)?

I think Shinto has a reason for this.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with believing everything has their own personal god and have no Dogma; its makes going about life feel more free and vast.
One thing I DO wish though is that Japan did more things for Christmas than just eat cake and only kids get presents (and girls going on dates, but I guess I could settle for that).
That reminds me of a song from South Park:
Now I heard that in Japan Everyone just lives in sin They pray to several gods And put needles in their skin.
On December 25th All they do is eat a cake And that is why I go to Japan And walk around and say...
Hey there Mr. Shintoist Merry ****ing Christmas God is going to kick your *** You infidelic pagan ****.
In case you haven't noticed There's festive things to do So lets all rejoice for Jesus And Merry ****ing Christmas to you.
And for those who didn't get the message, it was Mr. Garrison who was singing that song.

Oh everything's a sin, really. Technically you aren't allowed to go to the bathroom?
Jesus even said thinking about sin is just as bad as doing it. So why bother restraining yourself?
Or you can just go my way and decide all religions are equally false. It offers tremendous freedom of action, and no guilt.

It's a line from the Simpsons:
REVEREND LOVEJOY: Just divorce him. MARGE: Isn't that a sin? REVEREND LOVEJOY: Oh everything's a sin, Marge. Have you ever read this thing? Technically we're not allowed to go to the bathroom.

I'm basically saying that the Bible forbids damn near anything, when you factor in what Jesus said about thinking about sin. What's the point of resisting temptation if being tempted itself is a sin?

I'm basically saying that the Bible forbids damn near anything, when you factor in what Jesus said about thinking about sin. What's the point of resisting temptation if being tempted itself is a sin? Okay, then I suppose you think murder, theft, adultery, and lying are all super duper then? xDD Seriously, even if you don't believe in the Bible, most of the things considered to be sins are pretty much things you shouldn't be doing anyway. If you take the bible so literally, then yes, it's like you say. I think a reasonable God would allow room for personal (but rational) interpretation of the Bible, especially in our modern world where certain things considered 'evil' in the Bible are casual occurrences. If the thought of strangling someone after they make you mad crosses your mind, no, I do not think that counts as a sin. I think if you dwell on the thought, constantly thinking about how you would kill someone or how much you would like to do it, that's what's considered the sin. Temptation is a big part of that and I think as long as you don't act on it, and honestly regret thinking about it, that you're not sinning. Personally, I don't think you actually have to pray to God/go to a priest for forgiveness. As long as you honestly regret doing (or even thinking of) things that are considered wrong then any all-knowing God should be able to know you're remorseful and forgive you for whatever sin you committed. So the point is if being tempted is a sin, then you can still be forgiven, which is how the Bible rationalizes itself. But, uh, after addressing your comment, back on the topic of Japan. <.< As for Japan and Christmas, it's our religion so why would you expect them to even celebrate it at all? Christmas is so commercial now, which is exactly how Japan celebrates it. Their primary religion(s) isn't Christianity, so you shouldn't expect any kind of religious aspect to it. As for Japan living in Sin...maybe according to the Christian Bible, but certainly not according to them. (Or me, for that matter.)

Japan isn't that different than the U.S. I personally think Japan's more lawful than America. They have gun restrictions, smoking-only buildings, and their schools are much more strict with dress code and such. They sin just like us, only in a different way.
