Oceanic Plaza

[Beebs]

Oceanic Plaza, a small strip of land amongst a world full of ocean. It has a boardwalk-esque setting, with many shops, cafes, and activities. The community is situated on bluff, on the north side of the island, overlooking the marvelous blue ocean. The south end contains mainly forest and a mysterious village. A ferry transports the citizens from a North-East port back and forth to a small island about 2 miles off the coast, where a giant hotel resides where most of the people inhabiting the land live.

It is rumored that on the other side of the planet is another portion of land, much bigger than the Oceanic Plaza, but findings remain inconclusive. Who knows what other mysterious await you at Oceanic Plaza!

"You ready, girl?" a young woman asked, who wore a red bandanna on her head.

"Yeah, I think so," Yuna replied, unsure if the answer she gave was true. She shook her head of any doubt and replaced her nervous expression with a smile, continuing, "No, I know so!"

The female stage manager grinned and winked, replying, "Good, because you're going on now!"

"What?!" Yuna exclaimed, now nervous once again, "But Miley, I don't go on for another 10 minutes!!"

The young, bandanna-wearing Miley blushed and responded, "Yeah, well the second-opening act dropped out, so it's time for the grand performance. Looks like you're about to go on, good luck girl."

Miley practically shoved Yuna to the edge of the small backstage's curtain, which lead out to the even smaller stage. Yuna soon heard the announcer's sound system kick on, his voice announcing, "And now, patrons of the Oceanic Boardwalk Concert Circuit, please give a round of applause for the young woman you've all been dying to hear the musical styles of; the one, the only, Summoner Yuna!"

The medium-sized crowd began to cheer and Yuna situated a headset on her head, briefly thinking to herself, "Not quite the size of Luca, but it'll do. Alright, Yuna, showtime!" Yuna burst out onto the stage, waving to the crowd, which made then roar even louder. The former summoner blushed and called out to the audience, "alright Oceanic Plaza, are you ready for the concert of a lifetime?!"

The crowd responded to her flashy routine and she continued, "Alright then, ready? Let's go!" Yuna began to perform a song written by Leblanc back in Spira and the concert went underway.

Kicking up dust on the wooden planks of the boardwalk, Zack sighed as he pressed on with his stroll. It was a gorgeous day, without a doubt, and while the surrounding atmosphere was pleasant, something seemed particularly depressing. It had been nearly a week since his death and reappearance into the strange new land he had mysteriously arrived in. True, he was given a second chance at life, but why was he allowed to defeat death and continue to live on? The idea gnawed at him, and with his arms crossed, his eyes darted to each of the various shop signs in the distance.

"What to do? What to do?" the man questioned himself as he thought of methods to pass time. Suddenly, his ears perked to the sound of a woman singing melodiously. He smiled and grew attracted to a large crowd of people, and the sound source came from that direction. Excitement and curiosity overwhelmed him, and the man walked over in the direction of the charming music.

As Yuna sang into the microphone headset and the music slowly began to fade, she bowed to the cheering audience, slightly out of breath from her performance. She soon regained herself and returned her attention to the crowd, her expression beaming, and shouted, "Thank you so much! It was an honor to perform for you Oceanic Plaza!!"

[Liamane]

Looking on from a fair distance, Zack smiled as his arms folded across his chest. "Not bad," he muttered, softly complimenting the young woman from afar. "Not bad at all. She can actually sing, too." The SOLDIER's face developed a hearty grin as he gazed at the woman's form. Blinking, he knew that he was to move on, as would everyone that was dismissed from the performance.

Yuna waved at the excited audience, blushing with slight anxiety about her performance. She soon began to head off the stage, still directing her attention to the crowd, when a man crossing his arms caught her eye. The former summoner's expression somewhat changed, as she thought to herself, "That man...his face feels so familiar...have I seen him somewhere before? Maybe he'll come back to greet me with the rest...I can find out then."

After walking past the back curtain, Yuna practically collapsed into a nearby chair, worn out from her act. She heard the crowd outside begin to die down, including the faint, almost inaudible, "encore" shouts. The young woman smiled, happy to see she was bringing such joy to people with her talent.
