Alright, this is a general info thread for members of avatarfans.net on the progress of AF's revamp. Post her with any question, concerns, or information.
What We Know: tarting from the beginning, Tonya, former admin of AF, decided she no longer wanted to handle the hassle of running an active forum, so she gave them members the choice of taking it off her hands or closing it. Beautiful Disaster stepped in with funds for hosting and chose myself and cornucopia of love to co-admin to help with coding and graphic assistance. Shortly after all of this, the process began to take effect and the process of moving things over to the new host began.
April 16, 2008 - Tonya has recently informed us that she is helping to get the site up again and that it will hopefully be ready to go in a few days.
Concerns: I've been informed and noticed that phpBB group was being used for the forum, which I'm not sure is 100% compatible. I'm not sure why this was happening, but I'm going to ask whenever I get the chance.
Please post comments in this thread.

Hi B.B. Valentine, I was just looking for news on the AF since it's been longer than the expected amount of time for getting it back up and running, when I found this thread as a hit on my google search. Anyway, I was just wondering if you had any idea of how long it will take to fix AF. I'm sure I'm not the only one going into withdrawl.

As far as I know, there seems to be some problems with the transfer from Tonya. If there is, I haven't been made aware of it. I sent the files and transfered the domain over weeks ago. I haven't heard from anyone since. |

Oh, I thought the problem was that you didnt HAVE her email... never mind then.
.:EDIT:. And what I meant was that if you didn't have it, you could go to the data that was transferred, look under her profile, and get it from there.

What I was saying is that you could look through the data taken from the original site that is supposed to be moved. Even if it isn't set up yet, the original site data is still stored somewhere, right?

I really miss AF right now... and no one was kind enough to tell me about this site...There was a point in time where I had a link to this place in my sig, I PMd the most active members (including you, I'm fairly certain), and posted a link in the AF Closing thread stating this would become out backup, so you had to of seen it somehow. xD |
