Fire Nation Civil War

This RP is set after the end of the series. The premise is that Aang killed Ozai during the day of Black Sun. Both Zuko and Azula claimed sole power, and the Fire Nation Civil War began.

Azula was backed by the nobility of the Fire Nation. Her army is large, but consists mostly of garrison troops and new recruits. She has very few veteran soldiers. She does however, possess most of the Fire Nation's navy, and has built a powerful airship fleet.

A number of Iroh's old comrades sided with his nephew Zuko, and elite troops like the Yu-Yan archers fight under Zuko's banner. Still, he is badly in need of soldiers, and has been recruiting Earthbenders and Waterbenders as mercenaries.

Azula's controls all the Fire Nation proper. Zuko has the Northern part of the Earth Kingdom, and is allied with the southern half.

Ba Sing Se is currently in the hands of Azula's allies, the Dai Li, though a resistance movement led by Jet's freedom fighters is growing in strength. Jet himself is deceased. Smellerbee currently runs the resistance in his memory.

After two years of uneasy peace, the war has begun in earnest. It won't end until one of Ozai's children is dead.

Bio: Zara is the garrison commander in Ba Sing Se. It's his job to keep the Earth Kingdom capital under Fire Nation control. He is concerned with his career prospects, even more then most Fire Nation officers. He feels that by crushing resistance in Ba Sing Se, he will go on to even greater assignments. His soldiers are simply bargaining chips to be used as he wishes. Though he has sided with Azula, at the end of the day Zara is loyal only to Zara.
Description: Clean shaven, with long black hair. He wears immaculately tailored robes, preferring black and gold coloring.
Weapons, items, etc: He uses a glaive in combination with his firebending, making him a dangerous foe up close.

Bio: Quan is the leader of Azula's navy. He is humorless and uncompromising. Though a brilliant commander of ships, his battle plans do tend to be somewhat inflexible.
Description: Bald with a black mustache and goatee.
Weapons, items, etc: He has a sword that he pour oil on, allowing it to be set ablaze.

Bio: Jang is the commander of Azula's army. He is an energetic and joyous man who makes friends easily. He loves to fight more then anything else
Description: Jang is tall and thick with muscle. He has blue eyes, black hair, and a thick black beard. He wears a red and gold outfit of his own design.

Bio: An arrogant firebender and officer, Koji is strong in his roots, and his family has come from a long line of impressive firebenders. Although he rarely does such, he has the ability to bend lightning. He is a skilled assailant.

Okay then. We can start now or wait for more people to show up. Either way's fine by me. How about you guys?

I think we have way too many characters as it is. xDD Nah, the more the better, imo. I think it'd be good to start, but I'm open to anything.

OOC: Alrighty then, let's begin.

Azula was on the dais where her father had sat countless times. The flames obscured her, but she could see out perfectly. All her closest followers were here, planning strategy.

She also had a number of servants standing by. Father had never allowed servants at his meetings, but the ones Azula picked could be trusted. And if they didn't hold their tongues, Azula would have them torn out.

MEANWHILE, IN BA SING SE

Zara looked over the corpse brought in by his soldiers. There was a message carved in the chest of one. For Jet. "This is the ninth one we've lost this week sir" The Lieutenant told him.
Zara asked "The men always go out in groups, don't they?"
"They do sir. The rebellion has grown to the point where they no longer just pick off individual soldiers. They hit a guard post yesterday where six men were stationed. Some of the attackers were clearly Earthbenders."

"Hmmm.." Zara thought for a minute. They had already arrested hundreds of people for earthbending, with the Dai Li jailing hundreds more, but it wasn't enough. It was time for a proper example. "I think we've been nice long enough. It's time to show these fools what it means to defy the Fire Nation. We'll gather the soldiers, and in two days time, we'll burn down all the villages where our soldiers have been attacked."

[Liamane]

Breathing deeply, Aang sat in a meditation position in his room inside the wall of Omashu. The sound of silence was rare nowadays, and the peaceful airbender took advantage of the quiet, serene moment. The teenager had already endured much in his life; the constant rage of battle after battle became an ordinary ritual to him. Although he had defeated Fire Lord Ozai two years ago, the boy was yet again dragged into war.

But such was the duty of the Avatar; his goal to restore balance was the task assigned to him before birth. He didn't mind it, truth be told, but he always longed for true peace, similar to the feeling in which he indulged in at the moment. A smile grew upon his face as he enjoyed his peaceful state of mind, for he knew that an immanent struggle would commence in the near future.

[Sarcasmic Canadian]

"Will you leave me alone?" screamed Zuko, the old man walking behind him driving him insane.
Bumi did his traditional snort laugh and then said, "The birds would be great allies Prince Zuko...." Zuko blocked the rest out and continued to walk faster. Yet the old man and his guard kept up with Zuko's pace. Zuko tried to ignore him, but bumi's snorts never seemed to cease.
"You learn to deal with it. You've only been here a few weeks, he can be serious at times," informed Mushi, trying to kept Zuko from killing Bumi.
"He's insane," replied Zuko.
"Mad genius! *snort*" replied Bumi in his defense. Zuko slapped his hand on his forehead.
"And this mad man rules the Earth Kingdom?" asked Zuko, to no one in particular.
"You sound surprised, did you know when I was a young lad, me and my friend Aang, who is the avatar, did you know that? Anyhow, we use to pretend to be kings..."
"Shut up! Where's my uncle when you need him?"


Tyron was having trouble locating Mai. Zuko had sent him off to find her and bring her to him, but Tyron had no idea where he was. He assumed she'd be with her family, but he couldn't locate them either.
"Zuko's gonna be pissed if I don't find her," muttered Tyron. He was glad it was Zuko he worked for and not his crazied sister. Still, Zuko had a quite a temper to him and he didn't want ot be the one who informed him, he couldn't find Mai.
"... the things I do for him," muttered Tyron.

"Zuko's gonna be pissed if you don't find who?" asked Mai coolly. She and Lin had been walking back from taking tea. Mai found a sort of soothing quality in the Earthbender's presence. Ever since leaving Azula, quality female company had been in short supply.

"Me, I'm sure," joked Lin. "Because I'm so important and all."

Mai smiled--sort of, but not exactly. "Am I being summoned?"she asked of the guy Zuko had presumably sent after her. One of the twins, she remembered. The Firebending one.

"Lady Mai," said Tyron and he bowed to her. Then he looked at the other girl and shrugged his shoulders.
"Lord Zuko would like you to join him. He is in the presence of the Earth King and my brother, who is just as crazy as th King." Tyron smiled and then said, "I think he misses you." He remembered Zuko telling him to say something nice, since Zuko sucked at coming up with lines to impress ladies with.


"Is there any reason you wanted to see King Bumi?" asked Zuko, his patience on the edge of his butterfly swords.
"Actually there is. We got a report from those kids in Ba Sing Se, what's there name? Freedom Frolics? Fancy Fighters?"
"You got a report from the Freedom fighters and you're telling me about mail Chutes? What's wrong with you, you crazy old man!?!!?" exploded Zuko. Bumi merely snorted and said, "Yeah, that's their name! hmmm... I wonder if they have Mail Chutes in Ba Sing Se..." Mushi laughed as Zuko shot Fire balls out of his eyes at the king.

With Bumi? Joy. "Let's go then," Mai ordered.

Mai and Lin followed Tyron to Zuko, who seemed quite exasperated with the King of Omashu. Mai fought the urge to roll her eyes. Instead, she assumed the stern face more suitable to royal company.

Lin's eyes widened at the sight of King Bumi. She had never seen him before, and the stories couldn't compare to actually being in front of him. He really did look crazy, but something told Lin that there was more than madness to this man.

"Brother what is the meaning of this?" asked Mushi. Although you'd never figure it out, Mushi was older... by 12 minutes. But, he prided himself on the fact. Tyron had no idea what he did wrong, but his brother looked upset.
"You bring Zuko a girl, you get yourself a nice looking girl, but what about me?" asked Mushi, a sarcastic grin forming on his face.
"And me! *snort*" added in Bumi. Zuko slapped himself on the head again and then smiled at his fiancee.
"How's your day been?" asked Zuko. Tyron made a woooing sound and Bumi joined in. Mushi moved over to Lin.
"What a bunch idiots, don't you think?" asked Mushi.

Mai looked at the others with slightly raised eyebrows before turning to Zuko with a tiny smile. "It's been lovely," she answered. "Looks like you've been doing well. Your company seems very invigorating, Prince Zuko."

Lin fought for a good reply. Idiot was not a word she really wanted to use for the men in the room, all things considered. "Um...No? Not really. I mean...not at all."

[Sarcasmic Canadian]

"Ivogorating? Are you crazy?" asked Zuko.
"No, that would be me," interrupted Bumi.
"How is your father doing, young Mai?" asked Bumi, stepping in front of Zuko.
"Get away from her," growled Zuko, psuhing him out of the way.
"Thank Agni you're here Mai. I missed you..." He looked over at Bumi, who was sonrting again.
"... alot!"


"I find it quite attractive when a girl stutters," said Mushi with a smile.
"Hey, i saw her first!" yelled out Tyron, who had realized Bumi was done wooing.
"That's my younger brother, Tyron. The worst news my mother ever got was, "There's another one coming."
"Aye shut up peeble boy! What happened to Brotherly respect?"
"It died, just like your puny flames." The attention of the two brothers quickly turned away from Lin and towards insulting each other. Bumi joined in as well, switching from side to side.

"I'm perfectly capable of talking to the King of Omashu, Zuko," interjected Mai before answering Bumi. "My father is fine. Thank you for asking." Still rather ticked he had to return control to you, but whatever.

Lin sighed. Guys were such idiots and she was getting a headache. "I don't think I can deal with this," she muttered.
