This could be interesting. XDD Ok, so if you were to chose the gender of your first unborn child, what would it be and why?
While I'm partial to both, I'm leaning more toward having a son. Why, you ask? Well, my immediate family lacks guys. XDD It's true, most of my first cousins are girls, and even if I have a few male cousins, they're already old enough to be my father. XDD Scary, no? I do have a half brother, but he was barely present in my childhood. Even today, my entire household consists of girls, my dog included. XDD A majority of my best friends are guys, and even growing up, most of my closer friends were boys.
I suppose it's the lack of male figures in my life that makes me want to have a son. In a strange sense, I understand them a bit more than I understand most girls. XDD Scarier, right? Ah, heck.
So, what about you guys? Discuss!

If I had to choose, then a boy. Not sure why... I guess I feel I could connect better with a boy... But then again, I doubt I'd be a good father anyway.

I think I would go with a girl. You can dress them up in so many pretty things and they won't complain about it (and they won't spray in your face when you change them).

XD
I don't really want kids, but if I had to choose, I'd like a girl. I have a brother, younger, and I hate the little bugger. Sure, I like guys, and I have lots of guy friends, but I think I'd understand a girl better. Me and my mom are really close, so I'd love to have a relationship with a daughter like I have with my mother.

Well I would choose a girl, I have always wanted a daughter ever since I started playing the Sims and it is quite possible that by the time I have kids humans will regularly be able to choose the gender. They could do that now, but I bet you that it won't be taboo as it is now.

I'd say a girl. Strangely enough, I think I'd be able to relate more with one. ^^; A boy would be nice too, but I think I'd prefer the other. Either would be good.

Yeah, I would prefer a boy. I don't know, my dad is pretty mean and I hate his guts, so I'll try to see if I can be a better father than him to rub it in his face. *cough* ^^; um, I mean...cause girls are made out of sugar, spice, and everything nice or something. xD

Personally, I'm not planning of ever having kids. But of the imaginary kids I have in my brain, the firstborn (and second, and third, fifth, sixth, and seventh! lol!) is most definitely a son. Being a girl, having hung out with girls most of my life, growing up with girls in high school--I can safely say that I don't care much for girls. I'm not saying that I hate all females and wanna get a sex change the minute I turn eighteen, but behaviorally and developmentally, I'd rather deal with boys. It's so much easier to resolve issues; instead of trying to hide everything and disguise things with clever tricks, they're much more likely to just come out with it. There's less drama, emotionally, cause boys get in a fight with each other, you don't see them saying, "Shit, man, I'm gonna go online tonight and anonymously tell the whole world what a bitch you are, and then tomorrow I'll spread rumors about how you're the biggest SLUT to his this school since your mother!" (at least, I hope you don't. ;D) No, boys will usually slug it out, someone goes home with a real shiner, and the next day they're like best bros again. My kind of argument.
