Zutarian Resurrection?

According to the new trailer they showed at Comic Con today, Zutara reemerges! A firsthand account from a Zutarian:

So...after waiting for a whole hour in line...I squeezed my way into a seat, the whole place was absolutely PACKED, and the very first thing that they did was show the trailor for the second half of season 3!!

I. Was. Shaking.

IT WAS SOOO AMAZING!!!

And best of all....it was SO ZUTARA!!!

Okay, so here are some highlights..

Aang and Zuko were both firebending together
Aang and Katara were standing together under a full moon. Katara's eyes were closed, and Aang steps forward and KISSES her, but it was different this time. In DoBS, Katara kinda just let it happen, but THIS time, as soon as she realized what Aang was doing, she backed away looking all freaked out.
AND THEN right after THAT we see Zuko and Katara standing together, facing each other, and then all of a sudden KATARA RUNS INTO ZUKO'S ARMS her face all...emotional and delicate....
Zuko and Katara were fighting back-to-back!! Water was flying, fire was flying...
Zuko and Katara were both dressed in black, running, and they reach water and Katara turns it into ice and they run across
Sokka dresses up as a prison guard, goes into Suki's cell, Suki doesn't recognize him and yells at him, he says, "You mean you don't remember? Maybe you'll remember THIS." but Suki throws him against the wall, his helmet falls off, she realizes it's Sokka, she says that she knew he'd come, and they KISS...and Suki goes back to the gaang with him...apparently only Suki was captured coz she's the leader of the kyoshi warriors...
They showed a clip for the Ember Island Players episode...in which this theatre group acts out the gaang's story...it's hilarious....Aang is played by a girl...and ZUKO SITS IN BETWEEN KATARA AND AANG!!!! And Zuko complains that the actor playing him has no sense of humor or something, and Katara looks at him and says, "Actually, I think that actor is right on" and Zuko turns to her and says, "What?! How could you say that?!" and then in the play, the actor playing Zuko says "How could you say that?!" to the actor playing Iroh...and Katara smirks and Zuko grumbles....
Azula was MAD--her hair was down and wild, and her blue fire was all around her....
It has been confirmed that the Southern Raiders will be about what happened to Katara and Sokka's mother....apparently we will see a young Katara and a young Sokka...and it will be "one of the most intense episodes"...
There was this clip of Katara and Zuko and some other people standing in the rain...and all of a sudden Katara stands there, holds her arms out, all of the water droplets just stopping in mid-air, and Zuko's just stares at her...
OH and we see Katara in her bloodbending stance...but we don't know WHO she is bloodbending.....
And the gaang is flying on Appa, but Zuko is falling through the air and KATARA GRABS HIM!!

It was so amazing...first of all, a pure Kataang bash clip with Katara backing away from him immediately looking all freaked out, and THEN the next clip has Zutara HUGGING!! :faint: Seriously. I almost passed out. And there were so many clips with Zuko and Katara together...

Katara and Zuko look AMAZING fighting together. Guys, I am 100000000% sure that Zutara is happening. I even talked to a Kataanger afterwards, and he HAD to agree.

Zutara is going to be way more than a cute little relationship...it's going to be so intense and beautiful...just seeing them fighting together like that shows that this relationship is going to KICK SOME SERIOUS BUTT..

Ah. Well. An extremely successful Zutara comic con, I must say.

The trailor is sure to be out on youtube soon. I'll post the link ASAP.
Also, I may edit this journal when I remember some other points of interest...

Oh may I add, when Aang kissed Katara there was a brief murmur in the crowd, but when Zutara hugged, EVERYONE SCREAMED!

And I got quite a few compliments on my Zutara t-shirt...

Zutara fever is SPREADING RAPIDLY!!

Hmm. Gonna watch it again. Freaking awesome. Good to see Suki. Lovely to see Azula so disheveled. Seems like half of what was in the account was in the trailer, so hopefully there's another out there that gives the whole thing. 'Course, I'd much rather have the real thing!! Any week now, right? I think I might actually blow off my boyfriend to watch it if it'd just come on. Or make him watch it. (;

Anyway...soooo looking forward to this.

Actually, yeah, I'm pretty sure that was Jun. XDD I find it impressive how they're trying to bring back everyone from Season One. But on a sour note, they don't expect new episodes to emerge until July... >.<

Personally, I still don't think Zutara will happen. Not because I'm a Kataang. But the relationship has built too much over the series to throw it away on a whim at the end.

Though I like Zutara, I prefer Kataang.. And how many romances are there where near the end of the story theres a problem, tensness or fight between the two main characters? (In this case it would be Aang and Katara) Or someone coming in between them. I think thats.. oh.. almost every romance or story with romance in it I've ever seen.

Though I have to say, the reaction of the fangirls kind of annoyed me. No offense to anyone. And it has nothing to do with the ship. I just can't stand anyone screaming like that. Gives me such headaches.

Shaun, interesting you chose Zutara. I figured you would choose neither. And if you must, it would be Kataang. BEcause you always hated Katara and Aang but loved Zuko.. so I figured you'd be like.. He's too good for her.

I know I'm ranting on random points here now, but I'd also like to point out that I hate people chosing ships(*cough*Taang*cough*) just to pair up someone they left alone because it helps the ship they actually like.(Zutara)

Ahem. Enough about all the things that peeve me.

I am glad Zutara's going to have it's moments now. I do really like the ship, and I think it'll be nice to see how it looks on the actual show as opposed to soley in fandom. But I don't think anything will sway me from Kataang.

I'm just going to wait this one out.

I'm more excited about the action, the plot, and everything else than I am the romance.

But since that arse had to go die on us, Zuko's my next choice. I mean, did you see them bending together? They are pure epicness together.... plus, I liked to see how Katara reacts around Zuko, if they were together. I mean, she can't excatly treat him like Aang. And doubt Zuko wants a mother for a girlfriend.

The Taang bit was sarcasm. I'm personally all for a 3some {Sukpha} and Aang with Azula XDD

I agree that Zutara(As a fighting team) looks INCREDIBLE. I can't wait to actually see the episodes.

As much as I love Aang and Kataang, Aang really seems at his best when he's by himself. I still think he's awesome.. but he tends to get distracted when he's fighting with someone's help. But by himself he always wins... Ever notice that?

Katara could go both ways. I think she's an excellent team player as well as bender in general so she can fight by herself just as well.

And Zuko... Well, he seems like he does best when fighting with help... But that may just be my opinion.

What does this have to do with Zutara? ... umm.. I dunno, I think I got off topic a bit.

Ok, I don't have any long essay to contribute, but I do still have an opinion:

Realistically, Zutara wouldn't/shouldn't happen. Zuko spent months in the show (first two seasons, then some) trying to capture Aang, not caring what happened to the others, and even hired an assassin to kill the others. I highly doubt Katara would ever fall in love with him after something like that.

Think about it: could you ever love someone who repeatedly tried to imprison you best friend and tried to have you and your other friends killed? That's not something you can just overlook, even if someone does "change."

Love is...well, messed up. I think it's very possible for Katara to overlook all of that and fall for Zuko.

I'm not happy about the Zutara...or the Kataang for that matter. I support Zukaang all the way!!!

I remember another Zutara moment in the series. They were in a room together, with Katara gently touching Zuko's burn. She had a look of sympathy on her face and everything. We all know how that turned out. Remember the ending to Crossroads of Destinry? Zuko sides with his sadistic psycho bitch of a sister and Aang nearly dies? How would that feel you? Someone shows you a sensitive side then nearly gets your friend killed?

If they were going to do Zutara, they would have done it then. They've spent 3 years building up Aang and Katara, what makes you think they're going to do a bait and switch now? They just like screwing with Zutarians. It's like Charlie Brown and Lucy, every time you run up to the football, they yank it away, but you never learn, do you?

Well, wait, maybe I'm being too harsh. I mean, a man with real charisma can catch a ladies' eye in the space of an episode. Is Zuko that sort of man?

He has loads of fangirls, but how many people does he have casual friendship with? He takes a nice beach vacation, and who accompanies him? His sister and her friends. His only serious relationship is with a girl he's known since childhood. Zuko is clearly no social butterfly.

But look at Aang. In the pilot, he had all the kids in Katara's village laughing and having fun, and feeling more carefree then they had in ages. He had friends all over the world before the War, and in his travels, he makes loads of new ones. He was able to get everyone in his class (that he'd been attending less then a week) to throw a dance party, and they even pulled an "I'm Spartacus," so he could escape.

People act like Zuko is some kind of suave Casanova, when Aang is clearly the one who has a way with people.

Besides, how would that be fair to Mai? Consider how close she and Zuko were. They were sucking face pretty much every time they had an episode together. She's the only one he left a note for before he confronted Ozai. He didn't speak to anyone else. That means that out of everyone in the Fire Nation, parting with Mai was the hardest.

In The Beach, they did break up for all of 5 minutes, but after their heart to heart by the fire, Mai went back to him. She understood why he was being so possessive, and she forgave him. Has Katara ever forgiven Zuko? She might have done it at the end of season 2, but now she's openly threatened to kill him if he puts a foot out of line.

If you think that's what love is, you're messed up.
