"Well when I was about Kohana's age I would watch my mother cook dinner sometimes but usually mostly I watched her tend the garden." Miyo said softly while putting meat into the oven. "She knew the garden like the back of her hand and knew what everything was, where it was, and when it was ripe. Sometimes I thought she was crazy because she'll show me how to pull weeds from the garden rather than cook some bread. But after she died I realized that she wanted me to know the importance of maintaining the garden so that Kohana and I would never starve and we can still live on without much worry or trouble."
Miyo smiled a little as her memories started to flood in her mind. She looked over to the rice and asked Vincent to turn the heat down as she showed him what she was doing with the oil in a frying pan along with some spices. "My father was more of a builder and he did most of the work around the village. He would repair homes and whenever there was an attack on the village he would help build everything back. He said that he even built a treehouse with his father when he was younger somewhere in the forest. I haven't seen anything but I'm sure that it was wonderful." Miyo continued as she grabbed a small book and gave it to her love. Then she placed some chicken on the pan with the oil and checked the meat in the oven. "After my parents died, I couldn't cook much to save my life. I was looking around their room and this is what my mother left for me. It's her journal of all the recipes that she made and even some of my grandmothers. I remembered most of them and cooked them so much that I guess it made my cooking better."
After Vincent placed the vegetables in a pot, he flipped through the journal looking at every recipe written down. "I hope I'm not making him feel bad." Miyo thought lowing her head a little. "Me telling him so much about my family when he didn't have anyone, might bring back some bad memories."

Vincent ceased his reading for a moment and lowered his eyes. "Oh," he uttered softly as he continued reading the journal of recipes, "I see. It's wonderful to hear memories such as yours, Miyo. I can only imagine what is was like to grow up around here with such loving parents."
The man let out a sigh and slowly scanned the various recipes neatly enlisted in the journal. The Turk smiled as he gently closed the book and gingerly handed it to his beloved. "I'm sure I would have loved to meet them," he said in a low tone.

"I'm sorry for just blubbering on about my parents and everything." Miyo said as her face saddened. "I know that they'd love to meet you too."
"Something smells good!!" Kohana walking into the kitchen with her nose in the air. "Miyo what are we having tonight? Is Tidus staying with us? Is that Vincent cooking? What about the rest of these orders? Can I go outside now? Can I have some-"
"Wait a minute." Miyo said cutting Kohana off. She looked at her sister and replied, "How about asking Vincent what we're having, I'm not sure about Tidus staying with us, Vincent is cooking, people will come if not today then tomorrow, no you can't go outside yet, and no you'll spoil your dinner."
Kohana frowned a little especially at the last answer to her last question she never finished and looked toward Vincent. Miyo looked also looked at Vincent and asked pointing to the chicken in the frying pan, "Do you mind turning those over? They should be perfect on the bottom now." She then turned to Kohana and gave a small smile. Kohana lighten up her facial expression and asked Vincent, "So what are we having tonight?"

Vincent grinned as he looked over to Miyo then he shifted his eyes over to his soon-to-be younger sister. "Well, Kohana, we're having chicken, rice, and vegetables tonight," he said sweetly as he carefully flipped the chicken over in the pan. The man eyed the cooking meat and then turned over to lean toward the young girl. He placed a hand under her chin and gave her a wink.
"Hey, Kohana," the Turk whispered into her ear. "I promise you, once it's safe outdoors, I'll come outside and we'll do something together. How does that sound?"

Kohana's eyes widened with excitement as she place her arms about Vincent and gave him a bear hug. "Thank you so much!!" she replied happily. "You're so nice compared to someone else around here."
Miyo rolled her eyes and said, "I know that Jiro is kinda rude but-"
"Hey, I wasn't talking about Jiro!" Kohana said cutting her sister off. "I was talking about you!"
Back at the Fuwa camp, Ryo explained what happened and told his men that it was his plan all along. The dust storm was moving south and out of the village. Samuru was still a little angered but had something planned as well. "Ryo is getting in my way." Samuru thought, trapped in the Fuwa clan leader's mind. "I'll get my energy, my way."

The Turk raised a brow and knelt down to the young girl's level. "Kohana, that's not very nice to say," Vincent said as his joyous face sadden and he sported a frown. "Miyo isn't rude at all. She's kind and loving, and she cares about you. Your sister has taken care of you for most of your life, no?"
The man turned his head over his shoulder and looked over to his beloved with gentle eyes. "In fact, without Miyo, you and I probably wouldn't be here right now," he continued as he turned his attention back to the young girl. "Besides, don't you think you hurt her feelings by saying such a thing? How would you feel if I told you that you were rude? Wouldn't that hurt your feelings?"

Kohana frowned and replied, "Uh huh. That would hurt me feelings a lot. Miyo.....I'm sorry; you're not so mean!" Kohana was now bubbly and showed a smile.
Miyo returned Kohana's expression and said, "It's okay. Thank you for apologizing." Miyo turned to the blonde haired boy, who continued to drink his tea. She asked, "So, Tidus, will you be staying for dinner?"
Tidus thought about the question in his head and then answered. "Well....if it is alright with you.....and your fiancè."

Naomi put out the fire, which she had started. She sensed that the earth has settled since she entered the cave. She emerged from the dark cave and noticed the dust storm had left the part of the area she was at. "Hm....I wonder what caused that." She thought to herself, "Oh! I still need to deliver this order!"
Naomi hopped back on her bicycle and started back up the dirt path, to Miyo's house, hoping that they had been inside during the storm.

"I don't mind and I'm sure that Vincent doesn't either." Miyo said with a grin. She helped Vincent finish cooking a large amount of food and placed everything on the table. Everyone grabbed a chair and sat down around the food. "Well this was mostly Vincent's cooking and I know that it's really good. So eat up!"
"Wow, Vincent cooking?" Kikyo said staring at the food in front of her. "I would have never known that he could cook."
"Well I do have the best chef teaching me." Vincent replied placing a light kiss on Miyo's hand. "She teaches rather well."
"That's because you learn rather quickly." Miyo said turning to Vincent. She spotted Tidus putting food on his plate and smiled. "Hey, how do you like the food? Do you have food and things like this in your world?"

Tidus frowned, "No, not really.......WAIT! I love the food and we don't really have food like this." Tidus blushed after it sounded like he disliked the food. He was so embarrassed.
Naomi continued to make her way through the woods, hoping she wouldn't be too late. She finally reached and old wooden gate, which was a sign that she had only a few miles to go. She was nervous about the dust storm and was thinking about it as she peddled. "I felt something during the storm." She thought to herself, "It wasn't a good feeling."

Vincent smirked and let out a small laugh. "It's alright, Tidus. I understand what you meant," the man said as he crossed his arms. The Turk let out a short sigh and looked up at the ceiling. "We didn't really have food like this in my world either. In fact, many things in this world are totally different from the things in my world.
"To be honest, I never imagined a world like this existed," he continued as he looked over to Tidus. "Three years ago, most of my world was destroyed and many things have become extinct. But when I look at this world and see the various treasures that are a part of it, it gives me hope and makes my heart overflow with an indescribable feeling. After seeing this place and meeting people such as yourselves, it makes me want to stay here forever and never go back to Kalm."

"I know what you mean Vincent." Kikyo said nodding in agreement. "I've been wondering around my world for so long and coming here is really refreshing. Even though it started off with some chaos it's nice to know that I can get another chance to live the life I want now, like I can live for me and for the people I care about. I can be myself without having a title labeled on me."
"Well I'm glad that you all are here." Kohana said stabbing a piece of chicken with a fork. "We can do more together since there's more of us!"
"That's very true." Miyo said grinning at Kohana's words. "We could do a lot together and knowing more about you all really gives me some understand about the real struggle you all had to endure. I'm really happy that Kohana and I could be a part of your lives, Tidus you too....even though it's been a few hours."

Tidus smiled, laughed, then nodded in agreement. It felt good to be around people that felt like friends. Naomi continued riding and realized she was very close. She peddled faster so she could make her delivery and get home soon, as it was getting dark. ((OOC: Shortest.....post....EVA!!!! Sry. ))

Vincent smiled and looked down at his empty plate that lay before him. He quickly glanced over to the window, and as luck would have it, the storm had passed over the house. The man shifted his eyes over to the young girl sitting parallel to him at the table and he widened his grin. "Kohana," he uttered as he let out a short laugh, "once you're done and we help Miyo put away the dishes, I promised you that we would go outside, right? So if you hurry, we can go outside while there's still light out. How would you like that?"

"Oooh really!?!?" Kohana asked getting up from her seat taking everyone's plate. "Everyone is done now!!"
"I'm not!!" Jiro said angrily as he reached for his plate back after Kohana quickly took it. "I want my food!!"
"Kohana! You know better than that!" Miyo said taking Jiro's plate and giving it back to him. She then went over to Kohana, gave her a pat on the back, and helped her with the dishes. "I know you're excited but pay attention ok?"
Kohana gave an embarrassing nod and made her way to the kitchen. "I'm sorry Jiro." she said. "I really didn't mean to."
"It's ok! Don't worry so much!" Jiro said finishing up his food. He gave his empty plate to the young girl and gave her a grin. "I'm not angry and you don't have to feel bad."

Vincent smiled, stood from his seat and walked over to the young girl. "Don't worry about these; I've got them," he said as he pat the girl on top of the head and carefully took the plates from her hands. "You go ahead and go outside. I'll meet you in a few minutes, alright?" The man nodded his head toward the door as if to guide her to the door and then walked into the kitchen.
"Jiro," the Turk continued, "how about you go with Kohana? I'm going to help Kikyo and Miyo with the dishes." He widened his smile and pointed toward the door. "Go ahead, you two. I'll catch up with you."

Jiro looked at Vincent and shrugged. Kohana gave a long sigh and looked over at Tidus, who was watching the whole scene like a show. Tidus looked at Kohana and felt slightly confused. Jiro got up and replied, "Fine sure, let's go Kohana."
"But you'll just make fun of me again." Kohana said folding her arms. "You always do."
"This time I won't, ok?" Jiro replied honestly. He took Kohana by the hand kissed it. "My lady, will you give me the honor of escorting you outside?"
Kohana laughed at Jiro and gave him a nod. "Let's go then!" she said pulling him outside. "You all hurry with the dishes ok?"

Vincent waved and let out a short laugh. "Alright, I will then," the man said as he brought the rest of the dishes into the kitchen. He handed the plates to Miyo, who was standing beside him, and he assisted her with cleaning the dishes. "Those two... They're quite a duo. Jiro and Kohana are definitely one in a million, no?"

Kikyo and Miyo nodding in agreement to Vincent's words. After a moment Miyo looked at Kikyo and realized that she wasn't in the red and white outfit she was in before. "I see someone changed their clothes." the woman said looking at Kikyo with a grin. "I'm sure that you had tons of fun with Jiro."
"Well it was nice."Kikyo said blushing a bit. "Jiro showed me around and I almost caught him stealing stuff. He jokes and plays around a lot but for some reason I like it. Back in my world I was labeled as a priestess so I never really got to have as much fun as I did today. As far as the new clothes well.... Jiro said that since I'm going to stay here with you all, then I need to at least get rid of the old and start off new. He told me that I shouldn't hold back any longer, to let go and move on. He's right though, I've been holding back a lot and I can finally start over. Being here made me realize that I should find my own destiny."
"That's good that you can let go." Miyo said with a smile. "My father said something that I'll never forget. He told me before he died, 'Wear the life that fits you, and resist when others attempt to burden you with the life they think you should have.' To this day, I always kept what he said close to me." ((ooc: that quote was from a book I'm reading ^__^ I like it so much and it really got me thinking))
"Your father must have been a wise man and a great leader." Kikyo said placing her hand on Miyo's shoulder. "I'm sure that he is proud to have a daughter like you."

A smile crossed Vincent's face and he glanced over to to his beloved. "I know now that you get your wisdom from your father, Miyo," he said with gentle eyes. The man lowered his eyes down at the plates, and after another minute, the chore was done. "There we are! Looks like we're done with the plates."
As the Turk headed over the kitchen's doorway, he looked over his shoulder and grinned at the two women. "Ladies? Would you like to come outside with us?" Vincent asked. "We'd love your presence."

"Of course." Miyo said drying her hands. Kikyo followed Vincent outside barely noticing Tidus was still in his seat watching everything that was going on. The young woman gave him a 'come on' gesture and went outside with Vincent. Miyo placed the dish cloths away and turned to the young man. "I know you had to be entertained." she said with a small grin. She walked up to him and light grabbed him by the hand walking toward the door. "I don't want you to be by yourself, come outside with us and enjoy yourself a little longer. I'm sure that your boss won't mind."
