Vincent nodded and looked up at the ceiling. "You should be lucky you're alive and still have a life to live out, Arnia,'" he said solemnly. "I have experienced death, and I do not wish its pain to anyone."
The man was silent for a moment and gave a long sigh. "You must look forward to the day you're free of this duty and hope for a good life," he continued. "But, I have nothing to look forward to... I only hope to escape from this life by a second death. Then, maybe my soul can be free of these sins I carry."

"Well you know-" Arnia started to speak until she saw Miyo, who was spying beside the door way with her head lowered. The sunlight was dim in the sky as the night started to come.
"Does he really mean that?" Miyo thought. "Nothing to look forward to? I know that Vincent is often troubled because he's so alone. I don't want to leave him alone and wish for death again. I want to make him happy and feel loved; my heart says that I should."
"You know Vincent, I've waited too long for a good life. My life will be over by the time I'm finished with this place. I've dreamed of so many things and I'll be too old to do them." Arnia replied turning Vincent's point of view from the doorway to the desk and her. Her eyes watered a little as she buried her face with her hands.

Vincent stepped toward Arnia. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said.
Miyo stepped in the doorway now, and said, "Is it true Vincent? Do you really feel that way?"
The man looked over to Miyo and frowned. I've hurt them both, he thought to himself as he lowered his head. He looked up at Miyo and sighed. I don't want to lose you too, Miyo.
"I'm sorry," the Turk said as he began to walk out the door. "I've hurt you both. I've over stayed my welcome, and I've caused enough damage."

"I don't think you over stayed your welcome." Miyo said stepping in front of him. "Yes I'm hurt to hear that but you were only being honest."
She looked up to him and stared deep into his eyes. She pointed to her heart and said, "I feel that if you were to go now you'll not only hurt me, but you'll hurt yourself as well. I'm sure that you don't want to bear the pain again."

Vincent smiled and nodded. "It would hurt," he said softly, agreeing with Miyo. "And I especially don't want to hurt you, Miyo. I think my heart would break if I saw you in any pain. I couldn't bear to see that."
The man reached out to touch the young woman, but then retracted it and put his hand down.

Arnia was fuming at this point. She couldn't stand to see that her crying didn't have any effect on Vincent. The shrine keeper wiped her tears and folded her arms and turned away from the two. "I can't..." she thought. "I won't die lonely and alone."
Miyo smiled at Vincent and gave him an affectionate hug. She whispered in his ear, "I don't want you to leave. Please stay with us, stay.... with me."

Vincent's eyes widened a bit and her looked down at Miyo. He smiled and returned the hug. "Alright, I'll stay," the man said as he gently tightened his hold on the young woman. "I'm going to keep my promise, and I'm going to keep you safe."
The Turk sighed and lightly kissed Miyo's forehead. He didn't care or mind. He was in love, and nothing could hold his feelings back.

Vincent's kiss filled Miyo's heart with joy and happiness. Miyo hugged him a little tighter as her body pressed against his and saying to him blushing, "I'm really glad. You've made me feel so many emotions that I can't even control them."

Vincent felt his entire body flutter with uncontrollable feelings and he widened his smile. "I know," he whispered. "You make me feel like I'm actually worth something, Miyo. You make feel like I have a heart again, and I feel it beating... for you."

Miyo placed her head on Vincent's chest and checked for a heart beat. She smiled and said, "I can hear it."
She then looked back up to him and smiled. "It feels nice to be in your arms. I never want to leave them."

Vincent smiled and held Miyo tighter against him. "Just remember, you'll always be safe in my arms," he said to her softly. "You don't have to worry about a thing, Miyo. I'm right here, and I'll always be here for you."

Arina left to other room before Vincent and Miyo had their moment together. She was in her room now, thinking. "Hm...maybe if I had another scroll; another one about Vincent." she thought.
Meanwhile Miyo gazed up at Vincent. Never in her life had she felt this way about any other man. Her heart started beating faster as she tried to contain herself from being so nervous. "I...I think I'm falling for you Vincent." she said softly. "I know it's early, but I feel that I am."

Vincent's eyes widened. "Are you really?" he asked slowly. He lowered his head and felt his heart pounding through his chest. The man smiled and looked into the young woman's eyes. "I feel the same way. My hearts telling me that I really care about you and I want to be with you, Miyo. I've... I've never felt this way about another person."

"GROUP HUG!!" Kohana shouted as she hugged Vincent and Miyo. The early night sky was up and they were surrounded by forest. Miyo grinned as she placed her hand on Kohana's shoulder and looked up at Vincent. "Group hug!!" Miyo grinned. "This feels nice too."

Vincent smiled and looked at Miyo. "It does feel nice," he said as he placed a hand on Kohana's back. My family... he said to himself. You girls... are my family...
The man smiled and looked at Miyo and Kohana. "I've never had a family before," he told them. "But when I'm with you both, I feel like I'm cared for and that I'm someone actually thinks I'm worth something."

"We'll be your family Vincent." Kohana replied getting a lantern and bring it closer. "Well what are we going to do? It's too dark to go back home."
Miyo looked out in the forest and saw total darkness still in Vincent's arms. "I guess your right about that. It's black as a night with no stars or moon." Miyo said, "Vincent do you think we should stay here?"

The man nodded and smiled. "I think that would be best, and in the morning I could see if Arnia has any more information to give before we go home," he said looking at Miyo as the reflection of the lantern flickered in his eyes. "Speaking of which," he added, "Where is Arnia?"
"Hm..." Miyo said, "She must haver left after I came in, to give us privacy," unaware of Arnia's true intentions.
"That was kind of her," Vincent said, "Come on. Let's find a place in this shrine where we can can stay the night."

"Oh I've seen something!!" Kohana said pulling the two toward the other building. "There's an extra room."
When they got to the other shrine building, they noticed another door open in the back. "See! I told you" Kohana said pointing. "It has one big bed though...I don't know why it's just one big bed. Is this where Arnia sleeps?"

Vincent looked about the room and shrugged. "I'm not sure," he said looking at the bed. "You two should get some sleep. I'll stay up and keep watch just in case Arnia comes back, alright?"

"Don't you need to sleep, Vincent?" Kohana asked yawning a bit, "It's still early anyway!" Miyo placed the covers back so Kohana can get into bed. She said aloud, "I think sleep is good for all of us."
Meanwhile Arnia was in her room thinking again. "Vincent Valentine...why do I feel so strongly about you? I've never done anything like this before...it's so strange. I wonder where he is." She got up and left the building and went to the other. She stood outside as if she was about to go in, but got distracted by what she saw when she looked inside. "I see they found the other room..." she thought.
