Now this show is a bit old, it came out in like 2002 or something. It makes me wonder where the hell I was during this time. However this past July 4th on the History Channel or some other channel (I can't remember). I've discovered a show that had a marathon.
The show has an audience of about 8 to 12 year olds. However like every other cartoon, it finds it's own place among the Internet culture. Just like how Avatar did and it remains King. Despite having Anime Nerds invade several cartoon forums/chats/etc.
Anyways the show is called Liberty's Kids and is very well written for a children's cartoon show. To be surprised, this and Discovery Kids shows are pretty good. Liberty's Kids has had several celebrities provide voices for some historical characters.
There are 40 episodes I learned and coming out on DVD is the Complete Series, with bonus features. October 2008. Sadly I wish I discovered this gem when it was still new, but I guess I know how late Avatar fans feel when they just got hooked on to the series after the finale aired.
Anyways you should checked it out. Some smaller networks show it as a way to pass the educational rule set by the FCC. Like The CW and MyNetworkTV for example. I found out about it from the History Channel.
