The rogue feller we've come to absolutely love, Jet is one of top five favorites in Avatar. Jeez, give him some scruff, and we could have gone somewhere. ;D If Zutara wasn't my fling, it'd be Jetara that'd take the crown. Even though Jet was a total ass, I still thought he was awesome.

...And he's dead...

C'mon, they could have killed anyone off. They could have killed someone big for drama, but no. They kill Jet in Season Two. Why Jet? That's freaking injustice there.

By the way, what the heck happened to Smellerbee and Longshot?

As stated in Ember Island Players, it's unclear if Jet really is dead or not. I refuse to believe he is until they confirm it in the series. But yeah, even though he was a dick, I could feel myself liking him later on if they hadn't removed him.

Probably screwing each other in a Ba Sing Se hotel room, imo. But in all seriousness, it's like they disappeared into thin air. If anything, I think it would have been great if they had met up right before the invasion. If The Duke and Pipsqueak were there, why couldn't Smellerbee and Longshot? It would have been a great side note if Longshot and Smellerbee told their friends of Jet's fate. It'd be perfect to reveal Jet's fate.
