As it has been rumored many times. There is a new miniseries that is set to come out sometime in 2009 to hold fans off until the live action adaption in 2010. The series is still unconfirmed and still unknown as to what it could possibly be about. However it has been speculated that it's about Zuko finding his mother with Mai promoted as a main character. The series has also been rumored to be only 12 episodes.

There has been speculation on three animated hour long movies as well. Unknown as to what they could be about. But rumored to have been apart of Book 3, but cancelled and made into it's own original special. However there still are plans to expand the Avatar universe as mentioned by Mike and Bryan in the exclusive interview that came with the Sozin's Comet book.

My guess for the movies are that one of them will be about Koh the Facestealer, as many have been wanting ever since Book 3 started. And hopefully about what the rest of the invasion group has been doing during the final hours. No idea what the third movie could possibly be about.

Movies about Koh? The invasion? What the heck are those for? What about all of the plot holes and unexplained events that've occurred in the series? I'm sorry, but if I don't find out of Ursa's whereabouts, you've lost my total loyalty.

You must have no self-imginination don't you? Anyways the reason I say Koh was because I think there was suppose to be a Koh episode during Book 3. Also the invasion group was a plothole. Hakoda and whatever. Iroh giving Zuko the crown, that was a loose end.

Guess not because that's the creators' job, isn't it? And look what happened there...

Who cares about the invasion group? All they did was wait for Aang to emerge victorious. What about Lu Ten? I want to know about him and the circumstances of his life and death. And where did Iroh go once he escapes? There's so much behind the scenes stuff, and you're wondering what happened to the invasion group.

Lu Ten was just extra information. It was never really important to the main plot. It was just to let you know that Iroh had a son. So Lu Ten could easily be covered in a separate spin off series than the main series. You want to know where Iroh went when he escaped? Isn't it fairly obvious that he seeked out the White Lotus? To help plan for the liberation of Ba Sing Se?

Both issues you requested is enough material for a miniseries. Same goes for Zuko and his mother which I have a feeling by the way the Ozai/Zuko scene was protrayed, is what the series will be about. There was no need for this information when you had more important matters to attent too.
