Does anyone think that instead of a cell phone, we need to have a cell phone type device that allows users to communiate via the internet wherever you go? I find conversing over the internet better then a cell phone and for someone like me who cannot live without Youtube. This sounds extremely cool.

iPhone is still a phone. Doesn't count, I mean solely an internet device that is for the internet only and has so many more features.

What's the difference if you talk on a phone or the internet? The iPhone is pretty much exactly what you described, along with every Palm Pilot out there...

But those are for text messages. I am talking about a device solely for the internet itself.

Why should it matter if all of those devices have the internet? A modern pda could do exactly what you're talking about, plus a lot more.
