Does anyone here like Mad TV? I am currently watching it right now, although I do not think the current cast is the best one. The best cast was when Will Sasso, Mo Collins, Debra Wilson, Frank Calendo(SP?), Michael McDonald, Bobby Lee, etc. Do you like Mad TV?

MADTV is okay. I like SNL better. Ms. Swan is probably my favorite character. I liked it back when Nicole Sullivan was on it.

SNL doesn't really have a good cast anymore. Unless you count the person that jumped from Mad TV over to SNL, and Kenon Thompson. Their getting better, but SNL isn't as good as it used to be. Mad TV's cast now is completely differently now. They apparently went prime time now with a larger set. Mad TV was better in (I believe) 1995-1997 I think. When they had Will Sasso, Mo Collins, Nichole Sullivan, Debra Wilson, etc on the show. Even though Bobby Lee is really funny. I would have loved to see more Sasso/Lee skits.

It has good skits on occasion. One of my faves is the Scrabble skit with Little Richard and Bill Cosby.
Little Richard: Oh, if only I had one more O. *looks at his tiles that says "woooooo"

Ares Spears and Frank Callendo(SP?) are really good. I am glad Ares is still doing comedy tours. He is really funny, and has anyone seen Frank's new show? Where he does skits sometimes, but mostly it's impressions of people? Frank is funny.

Phil Lamar was great on there too. Now, not only does he do comedy skits, he also does the voices of cartoon characters (including the Earth King).

Yeah I forgot to mention Phil Lamar. No surprise he was bound to do the Earth King, he did many other voices before. Does anyone remember The Weekenders? Avatar has two connections to the show now, Phil and Grey. Who both voiced Lor and Carver.

Here's another connection: Phil Lamar was Samurai Jack, who swore vengence on Aku, who was voiced by Mako!

I am surprised that Michael McDonald remained with the cast. I was sure he would have left by now and did his own thing.

I used to like it, but man.... that show REALLY went downhill. The problem is they kept milking the few memorable characters they had, until they just weren't funny anymore.
Also, most of the good actors left. I liked Will Sasso's impressions of Steven Seagal.
