Vincent's ears perked to the sound of Jiro's footsteps, and he pretended not to notice his presence. As the young man held the vase over his head, a smirk crossed the man's face and an idea hatched in his mind. Using his stealth developed through years of training from the Turks, he swiped his foot and Jiro fell backward onto the floor while the vase flew up into the air.
As the vase plummeted upon the Turk's head, the various pieces shattered and spread throughout the room, and the crash echoed about in the house. Vincent opened his intense red eyes and stared the young spy down. "Thanks for the wake up call," he said smoothly as he brushed the tiny pieces out of his hair. "I needed that."

After hearing a loud crash, Kikyo and Miyo rushed out to see Jiro on the floor and pieces of the flower vase on the floor surrounding Vincent. The women rushed over to them; Miyo to Vincent and Kikyo to Jiro. "What happened?" Miyo asked picking out pieces from Vincent's hair. She looked over to Jiro who was standing up again rubbing his upper back. "Vincent tripped me up while I was getting water for the vase!" Jiro exclaimed with an innocent tone. "He doesn't trust me at all so he wants to hurt me."
They all gave a puzzled look at Jiro and Kikyo felt the boy's forehead. Kikyo sighed and took a seat at the table. "You really need some help, Jiro." she said nonchalantly. "You can't tell lies even if you had to."

Vincent smirked at the young man's feeble attempts at lying and he let out a short laugh. "You have to work on your lying skills, Jiro," the Turk told him as he stood up from his sleeping position. "While you're at it, why don't you work on your stealth, too?"
The man smiled and looked at his love. "Good morning, Miyo," he said gently as he greeted her with a light kiss. Vincent glance over the young woman sitting at the table and also gave her a smile. "Good morning, Kikyo."

"Good morning!" Kikyo and Miyo said at the same time. The women looked at each other for a second then laughed. "What's so funny?" Jiro asked still embarassed. He took a seat crossing his arms. "You all are making fun of me! Well we'll see who will laugh last."
"It's not that Jiro, take it easy now." Miyo said grinning. "How about you pick up what you dropped on the floor. I'll go make us some tea and start on breakfast."
Jiro's face frowned a bit as he grumbled under his breath. He picked up the remaining pieces of the vase as Vincent and Kikyo watched smirking at him. "Anyway, so how long were you two lovers out?" Kikyo asked with a curious grin. "Did anything happen last night?"

Vincent exchanged looks with Miyo and the man fixed his eyes upon Kikyo. With a short laugh, he crossed his arms and sat down at the table. "Wouldn't you like to know?" he said with a sly tone. "Well, Miss Kikyo, for your information, Miyo and I came back home shortly after you left. And nothing out of the ordinary happened..." -a smirk crossed his face- "...yet."

"You didn't get any action yet?" Jiro said laughing loudly. He looked up as the pitch of his voice started to get higher as he continued. "Well I've been with lots of woman... yeah they want me all the time... and they like that I know Ryo cause they give me whatever I say."
Meanwhile at the camp, Ryo told his men to rest up. His feelings and thoughts from the night before weren't leaving his mind as he gave a depressing sigh. "How could I be confused about what I want? I hate to try to compromise but this is a life and death situation. Samuru said that if he dies then I do too. But I still haven't found what was missing in my heart. I need to think fast if I want to stay alive."

((MUHAHAHAHA!! I got to post before I went to NY! *waves*))
Vincent expressed a blank face and he crossed his arms. "You're terrible at lying, you know that?" he said as placed his hand on the table and began to drum with his fingertips. "I suggest you permanently change the tone of your voice if you want to frequently lie."

((yay!! )) Jiro cleared his throat and slouched in the chair as Miyo came back with some tea and sliced fruit on a large plate. "It's wild raspberry." she said giving one to everyone. She took a seat beside Vincent and smiled. "How did everyone sleep last night?" "It was wonderful after being in the onsen." Kikyo said taking some melon. "I feel lighter since I didn't have to think about those clan members when I was sleep." "I told you they wouldn't do anything." Jiro said in a composed way taking a slip of tea. "If they did, they wouldn't want a scrawny girl like you." Kikyo blushed with embarrassment and playfully punched Jiro in the arm. Jiro took a grape and threw it at the young girl and quickly ran out to the back laughing. Agitated with Jiro's flirtatous act she rushed after him. "Kikyo was red as a tomato." Miyo said laughing a little. "I guess it's been a while for her since someone came along."

Vincent smirked and drank a sip of his tea. "I suppose so," he said as placed his hand back on the table. The man lowered his eyes and blankly stared at the ground. The dream of Lucrecia he had experienced yesterday still disturbed him, and he did not understand its meaning or importance.
"I thought I was over her," the Turk said to himself as he closed his eyes and imagined her face in his mind. "I've found someone who I know will love me and accept me. But why am I still thinking about Lucrecia? Perhaps... my transgression is finally coming back to haunt me."

Miyo noticed Vincent in great thought and wasn't sure of what to say. She looked around the room searching for the words to come out her mouth but all she could do was eat a piece of fruit. After a moment, she looked at her the love of her life, placed her hand on his shoulder, and finally spoke softly, "Is everything ok?"

Miyo's voice snapped Vincent out of his trance-like state and he looked at her hand upon his shoulder. "I'm not sure," the man said softly as he gently placed his hand over her hand. His hands were cold compared to hers, and the Turk let out a long sigh. "I... I don't know what's going on with me."

Miyo's eyes widened at the coldness of Vincent's hands and stood up. "Something must be really bothering him." Miyo thought. "I wish I could help him out. I can't stand to see him like this." She leaned forward, took a seat on his lap, and studied Vincent. "Hmmm..." she said examining him. "Well you seem ok to me, but there's something that's been on your mind for a while, right?"

Vincent gave a slow nod and let out another sigh. "It's been on my mind for the past thirty three years. It's the sin I've had to bear and had to live with," he said softly as he put his arms around Miyo's waist. The man raised his head to look at his love and he frowned. "I suppose I can't hide my past from you forever. I suppose... I should tell you."

The young woman looked into Vincent's eyes to see the hurt and pain he had to bear for so long. She caressed the side of his face and said, "I don't want force you to tell me and I'm going to always be here for you. If you're not ready to tell me then, I'll wait."

The man closed his eyes and was silent as he lowered his head. "I... I can't hold it in any longer," Vincent said in a whisper. "It's ripping me apart on the inside. It's because of my actions that so many people are dead in my world."
The Turk took in a deep breath as he opened his eyes and looked at Miyo. "Her name was Lucrecia Crescent," he began."As a Turk, it was my mission to protect her because of her status in Shinra; she was a researcher developing a theory of the life stream on our world. It was the summer time, and I was a twenty seven year old man who had fallen in love with the person I was supposed to guard.
"For weeks, my love for her grew, and we began to spend more time together. But one day," Vincent continued as he briefly paused, "everything would change between us. I was looking for her one afternoon, and I had accidentally discovered her files. As I read them, I soon discovered that she had been working with my father, Grimoire Valentine, and that she had been associated with his death. Lucrecia caught me, and she ran away from me..."
The man was silent for moment, then continued. "I wanted to tell her how I felt and that I wasn't angry at her for hiding this information from me," he said as he raised his head and looked into Miyo's eyes. "But she fled, and we never looked at each other the same again. But it was my duty to continue to protect her, so I continued with my mission. Soon after, she fell in love with her associate, Hojo, who was also a scientist, and they became involved with one another. I watched them come closer together, and within months of their relationship, Lucrecia became pregnant with Hojo's child.
"I later found out that her unborn child was to become subject to testing with Jenova cells, and I couldn't take it any longer. I confronted Hojo only to have Lucrecia intervene in the conversation. She became open and wished to know my opinion," Vincent whispered as he hung his head and his heart sank. "It was my one chance. I could have stopped her, and I could have changed the outcome of our world's history. It was in that one moment the world's future rested on my shoulders... and I turned away."

Vincent was silent for a long moment, and then he continued his story. “I should have stopped her,” he said as he scolded himself. “I could have stopped the madness that would pursue in the next few months...
“It was shortly after my conversation with Hojo that I noticed something happening to Lucrecia,” the man said as he lowered his head once more. “I would watch her doing her work or research, and I would notice that she was in great pain. I found out that the Jenova cells that had been injected in her child were also affecting her and causing her a great deal of pain. One day, I realized it had gone too far, I confronted Hojo once more, and this time... it would be my last.
“The next thing I knew, there was a bullet in my stomach and Hojo stood over me smirking. That bastard killed me, and he decided to use my dead body as the subject for experiments. It was then that he injected me with the Jenova cells. After that, the only thing I remember was waking up to see Lucrecia crying and begging for my forgiveness... That was the last time I ever saw her...
“I woke up one day finding my body totally transformed by the Jenova energy, and I was locked up in the basement of the Shinra mansion,” the Turk said with a sigh. “I didn’t know what to do. I was alone, and there was no one I could turn to. With that, I locked myself in a coffin in the basement of the mansion for thirty long years.
“It was because of me that Sephiroth, Lucrecia’s son, destroyed millions upon millions of people’s lives. It’s because of me that Lucrecia encased herself in Mako energy and put herself in an eternal sleep. It’s because of that one transgression... an unmarred world fell.”

Miyo lowered her head and closed her eyes for a second. She slowly opened them and looked over to Vincent with pity and sadness. After a moment she placed her arms around Vincent and took in a deep breath. "I could never know how you feel Vincent, but telling me this... you troubles and your past, gives me more understanding." She said holding him close. "We can't change what has already happened but the only way to move on is to let go of what's holding you back."
"I don't want to see you in pain, my love. I want to see the bright and glowing spirit that I know you have." Miyo continued with a small smile. "It's going to hard times but I'll always be here. Kohana, Kikyo, and that goofball, if he stays, will be here too. But don't stress yourself out about it so much; you'll make me worry."

With a small smile, Vincent nodded and held Miyo closer to him. "Alright, my love," he said softly as he placed a tender kiss on her lips. "You don't have to worry about me, Miyo. If anything, I don't want to you to be stressed or worried."
The Turk was silent for a moment and enjoyed the moment with the woman he loved most close to him. "I love you," he whispered as he leaned in and lovingly kissed her neck. "Don't ever forget that."

Miyo bit her lower lip as she looked at Vincent with passion and gave him a most desirable and loving kiss. After a moment she pulled away and looked down at Vincent's chest. "I love you too Vincent." she said in a small daze. After a second she gave a bright smile and asked, "You hungry?"

Vincent smiled and gave a nod. "A little," he simply said as his hand strayed away from his hold on her waist and his fingertips slowly made their way downward. The Turk blinked and snapped out of his own daze. His stomach made a small grumbling noise and the man responded with a sheepish grin. "I think I need a little food to get my body going."
